The Rangers are in St. Paul this early evening for a match against those Wild Things and old friend, former NYR Zuccarello and briefly Tarasenko. The Wild have the third best record in the Western conference so if the Rangers are to get that elusive 4th win in a row they’ll need to play a very good game. Please note: The Xcel Energy Center apparently ran out of juice and is now the Grand Casino Arena. No idea if they have gambling inside but sounds like they would!
Shesterkin (21-12-6, 2.50 GAA, 0.912 SV%) expected in net tonight against Gustavsson (24-10-6, 2.46 GAA, 0.914 SV%). The Rangers have activated JT Miller off of IR and it sounds like he’ll be in the lineup. Where exactly won’t be known until game time and after he blows out the candles on his birthday cake. Our guess is Sullivan leaves the top line alone and puts Miller on the line with Trocheck and Cuylle but 🤷♂️
The refs today are Brandon Schrader (325 GP) and Chris Lee (1556 GP). Schrader is a homer!
