The Rangers meet a team with a record not much better than their own tonight at the Garden when they have a tilt against the Leaves. Toronto has seen another season go down the tubes and comes into the match 3-5-2 of their last ten, the least two in OT. The Rangers have improved to 2-6-2.
Shesterkin (18-12-6, 2.52 GAA, 0.911 SV%) is expected in net again tonight against Woll (13-9-4, 3.05 GAA, 0.907 SV%). The NYR Hartford shuttle bus continues to be busy with the callup of Chmelar and Parssinen and the departure of Brisson and Morrow. Miller is on the IR again, possibly from a puck to the helmet in the last game. Edstrom is said to return from a very long leg injury. At time of writing, Trocheck has not been placed in a box with bubblewrape. Leaves jugling a bit too after recent trade of Roy.

Sad to see Trocheck go, but he is Rangers best chance of a good return. Unfortunately, Rangers have the most clueless GM in professional sports, so I expect a very disappointing return. Lets Go Sabres.

Rangers trade Sam Carrick to the Buffalo Sabres.
Carrick was the most consistent, tough, all for the team player, who hoped to end his career in Rangers uniform (according to his own, kind of bitter words before leaving). If not for this trade, Carrick was most definitely, a frontrunner to win the Steven McDonald Extra Effort Award. As of late night, the return was not yet clear.

They only played on a line together for 65 minutes, interestingly, which is about 10 minutes less than Sheary played on a line with Trocheck and Miller.
