But let’s roll it back a little bit. People who know me also know that I’m an active and healthy person, take good care of myself, and play some sports. Shuddup, Wicky.
But I started to feel different during pandemic. Weak, out of breath more. Waking up at night. And, starting in January, chest pains on exertion. So I had to check it out.
Long story short, I ended up needing an open heart surgery consisting of two parts, one is a coronary bypass, and another one similar to what Hank had. Except I didn’t have to travel to Cleveland to find the best guy to do this, because he is right here at NYP. I really have no modifiable risk factors ( used to smoke, quit well over 20 years ago), except very strong family history.
So there you go, I had my surgery on 5/25, that was my preferred date, and I was granted it. When I told JamesG about it he said it’s a very good date, man. That’s Messier’s guarantee date. No kidding, James, do you think that’s why I chose it? 😃
Anyway, it’ll be awhile until I can actually take over the blog again, hopefully in a month or so.
But you all have to agree that the guys in charge while I was dealing with my upper body injury did a marvelous job. Thanks, everyone!

But no, you can’t renegotiate contracts in the NHL period
I’m talking next deal/extension
15th
The end lol
Pete was saying with a high offer sheet you lose the picks and then get screwed not being able or having to sign them at their qualifier.
I’m clearing that confusion up
Oh dang Detroit got 6th overall.
I wish I could have seen Stevie Y
Good for buffalo. (For the first time since 2018) 🙂
This went pretty much in oder of finish. No big movement by anyone. Let’s see who is available at 15. No stories about trading the pick this year. I wonder if JD saved his Columbus merchandise or he has new stuff to wear.
Does anyone here work or are you all on the dole?
could in theory get that to work JPP, but think any team would be nuts to do that for Brady. Think only a no doubt 1st line center would be worth giving up four 1sts plus the cap collateral damage
Carp-“Will Buffalo be picking first AND 15th? #NYR”
That’s a different matter.
Need to check the cutoffs for tiers
Pete
8m-10.9m is 2 1sts, a 2nd, and a 3rd
10.9 and up is 4 1st rounders
That changed. The 4 1st rounder compensation floor was lower in the last cba.
So we could go up to 10.9 without forefeiting 4 1sts.
I’d would give up 2 1sts, 2nd, 3rd
As SN had said the other day. We can reaccumalate a few 1st rounders if we wanted to
Tracks of my tiers
NEW POST GUYS
yea at that price less the picks that would concern me then JPP. It’s you have $10+m tied up in optimistically a 50-60pt winger for a few years, which means you have to go much cheaper at center, so are we actually better off?
He is the center
