The Rangers won in unlikely fashion yesterday at MSG – taking an early afternoon, nationally televised game.
Shesterkin stopped 31 of 33 on the day, Zibanejad (24) continued his hot streak with a PPG, Raddysh (9) tied the game in the third and Trocheck had the shootout winning goal.
Game summary below:

The next game is Monday, 2 March at 19:00 PM EST against the Columbus Blue Jackets at MSG. Telecast by MSG, NHLN and FDSNOH.

Not much in the way of Schneider rumors. I read one trade board that didn’t even list him. I guess they are holding on to him? I’m not against this, but that puts a lot of eggs in the Trocheck basket.
Hoping Sharks interested in Schneider
Schneider showed he wasn’t a top pair in Fox’s absence, does a lot of good things but not too many great things and if you project out the next contract, how will that play into increased Cap. Forwards drive play so guess those will go first. Hughes is a forward playing D for the most part.
Shesty just coming back from injury. They need to rest him and let quick have a bunch of games as he finishes out his career
Poor Quickie. But at least he has 3 cup rings.
If Hughes has the puck ….the other team can’t score
The bad luck history of this franchise tells me that Drury can’t help but screw this up. It’s most likely inevitable.
They lose no one’s happy ..they win no one’s happy …this place should be called “misery loves company”
It is a weird kinda purgatory the rangers have built for their fans this year
Quinn Hughes is 37th amongst Dmen for points/60 at Even Strength. 37th…. PP producer
Wolfpack 5-4 victory yesterday went over 10 rounds on the shootout. Orthmann scored the tying goal I believe & a second shot on the shootout. AHL players suck. Must be patient; he’s got a great shot but not good on defense; you could correct the latter.
Perfectly said, cc
When Orthmann is traded I guarantee you he’ll be a 30 gold score on any other team
This Flo hockey is something else. Spending too much time watching Aspinall at Flint & Greentree at Windsor. They both might make the Rangers in September. New guy #24 looked real good. Don’t think we need a redeal or rebuild, we need a total rehail.
Meant rehaul
I’m hoping for no more moves by Drury. There’s no one he has to trade so there’s nothing for him to screw up.
Old Ranger Fan: Wrong Trochech going to give a few good moves. #13 & #4 can also furnish additional moves. We keep Miller (,,even though I would dump him. Also keep Zibanejad Fox, #44 # 50, #18 #94 #24, # 31. We.need to Rehaul the rest. There are 3-5 prospects that can make our team.
“I don’t care anymore.” This mess is beyond correcting by the present administration.
Mangiapane on waivers
As much as we all dislike Drurye happyin 3 or 4 year
,we are stuck with him. We can bitch and moan all you want but it’s not going to make Dolan make a change.
Even though I don’t believe he can fix this mess,we are in with him until he is out. Let’s hope and pray that he will not screw it up. If he does ,we were all right. If not maybe we can be happy. That is if most of us are here for it.
“I don’t care anymore.”
“Well, I don’t care now what you say”, you still care.
I won’t be there no more
So get out of my way
Let me by
I got better things to do with my time
I don’t care anymore
Do you hear, I don’t care anymore
I don’t care no more
You listening? I don’t care no more
No more
I don’t trust Drury to run the rehaul. The less he does the better.
St. Louis won today as did the Hawks. They are in the 2nd or 3rd draft spot.
20+ games remaining plus a lottery so top pick is no slam dunk both getting to pick and who they pick
The three metro area teams have gotten the 1OA in recent years and all took the consensus pick. There was no scouting skill involved. Iles get Schaefer, Devils get Hughes and Rangers get LAF. Cleary Dolan has pi$$ed off the hockey gods.
Pens gifted their dynasty picks as far as consensus as well.
Not to mention getting top picks coming out of lockout without ever having to play a game to double up
Are the top three or so picks sweating it out right now wondering which one will have their career ruined by getting chosen by the Rangers you think?
Have the #NYR considering sitting Trocheck for roster management purposes?
“Not to this point, no,” Sullivan said.
Just had a good, open convo with Vincent Trocheck, who very much realizes a trade could be coming. He said winning is a priority for his next destination and he confirmed that he prefers to stay east. “It’s no secret. (West teams) are on my no-trade list.” #NYR
per Vince Z
After their faceoff woes and Sid needing help in the center position the Pens should pay a lot for trocheck and his term
Who in the east has 1c/2c type prospect ..Boston …Hagens or Mtl Hage?
Would love Hage!
thats the best option
Sully spends 90% of his time on the bottom 6?!?
Lets sit Trochek till the trade. No reason for him to be out there maybe getting hurt. The idea is to tank, not score shootout goals that no ond cares about.
I have a better idea. Let’s sit Drury in the unemployment line before he screws things up big time.
I know, pipe dream.
“NYR: have not won home game in regulation since November 24.”
NHL Network has been displaying that helpful reminder on its lower third all day long. I thought I’d share it with all of you good folks. “Sharing is caring,” right?
This guy gets to help run a second teardown in a decade. NYR hockey!
This is not the way to celebrate your 100th anniversary.
I think BC has moved Hagens to the wing. It may be coincidence but his performance has picked up recently. He has 20 goals and 2 hatties this year. LeTourneau is also playing well, Bruins have two good picks close to home.
They bubble wrapped Panarin without having a trade completed. It’s late to do it for Trocheck if they know he’s going. It may not happen. If Trocheck isn’t traded he now knows he’s on the clock. He can’t feel great either way.
