This game was an example of why you think long and hard about long term big money deals to Mika and Strome.

The issue w Chytil/Kakko/LaF is two fold. They aren’t in the top six consistently. They aren’t making up a traditional third line, so defensively they aren’t providing what the team needs and their offensive capabilities aren’t up to snuff for the NHL quite yet. Also aren’t getting the opportunity to develop them playing protected minutes.
It doesn’t mean they suck. It also doesn’t mean it’s their fault that the GM or coach of the organization that drafted them decided this is the right strategy.
Papa believe me the stuff I’m saying today is just to bust chops. I get it totally.
Like I said earlier to SN, it’ll be interesting to see where they go from here. Kravtsov, Barron, draft, free agency, expiring contracts, back up goalie situation…it may get worse before it gets better

Best situation you can hope for at center is an upgrade at 1 or 2 and then Barron or a UFA with a traditional 3C resume comes in for the third line.

I would put the blame directly at the feet of the GM and/or Pres for forcing these kids into lineup before they are ready to contribute at this level.

Cockoh is hard on the wall. Stick handles superbly in space. Has a good shot when he lets it go but…….too many passes in the ozone that are to mates behind him and covered player……and an awful habit of playing stick handle the puck into the net. Reminds me of a game we played, 2 on 2, blue line bring Backs, and you score a goal when the puck taps one of the posts (no goalie obviously) – why he’s afraid to shoot is beyond me and that’s poor coaching as it’s gone on since forever.
Center ice needs to be situated more than anything else at this point.
