You know, despite of tons of mistakes, unconnected passes, wide shots, you can’t blame Rangers for lack of efforts in this game if nothing else.. Of course, it’s not enough to win the game with depleted roster, against well prepared and superior team by any logic, but hockey’s. Particularly, when your biggest caliber gun is not firing . What I’m saying – unless Ziba will start scoring , our weakened team has no chance in games like that, where every timely goal could change all game design. I’m NOT angry with Rangers today at all. I don’t want to hear it about mistakes.
The Bruins came out and set the pace by physically bulldozing them (quite literally).
Whatever game plan or preparations they had prior to the puck being dropped went out the window after that.
No retaliation. No legitimate pushback when it would have mattered
No statement to notify them that they can’t run their goalie and not get hurt.
On top of that the Bruins played much better in all three zones. Which was enough to make this a rough afternoon.
So just be thankful that this was just another loss and there aren’t a few more guys on the shelf.

If #79 is hurt, he shouldn’t be playing. He had a really disappointing showing today.

Predictably, Kreider took another game off. No problem with him not scoring or assisting–he’s never been a point-a-game player, but the coasting, yeesh. I think he could have been a Ranger great if he had ever instilled in himself a no-shifts-off attitude.

I find it very interesting than when Kreider plays with Zibanejad, he gets blamed for poor play. When he’s not with Zibanejad, his play ” improves”. Interestingly, the same for Lafrenier. Notice that after the switch was made, Lafrenier game got better. Hmmmm.
