blackwell isn’t an everyday NHL player, but one you can play a few games here or there on the 3rd or 4th line. If not for self-imposed cap problems Barron likely should have gotten a look. But no reason why one of the other college free agents couldn’t have gotten a look and a guy like howden or any of the rest of the bottom 6 couldn’t have been sent to taxi squad
