This one was fun. I gave a high grade for Dolan. He stays out of the way, and never says no.
I think what JD and Gorton do over the next month or so will determine their scores.

Honestly I only rated those I felt I could rate. I really don’t know how anyone could assess Sather or someone like Greg Brown specifically.
One thing they realized and, seemingly, has paid more attention to right away, is that Hartford was a dumpster. So called development league couldn’t develop a dog walker for NY

And agree that the return they get on upcoming trades, deals they choose to give out or not give out and draft picks made this year is key for JD and Gorts

I also rated Dolan high for those same reasons and not to upset Olga but I think sather is a big part of keeping Dolan at a distance.
Gorton and jd got moderately high ratings from me but it’s always going to be an evolving work in progress.
I gave the coaching staff (except Benoit) 6s across the board.
I don’t think the D issues are on ruff (or system) and DQ and his line up decisions don’t do much for me (I get they are in win now mode) and they need to give young guys opportunities in all situations to see how they respond.
Thé pro scouting staff i gave pretty good numbers to, the amateur…yeeesh.

wicky, I think Trouba’s NMC’s kicks in in june or july of this year. I would trade trouba before it kicks in.
and by the way, dolan is a mutt.
Burying Smith in Hartford only saves $1,075M. Trouba’s NMC kicks in July 1st when he becomes UFA eligible. Nobody is trading Trouba.

My early impression is that the trade deadline is going to be pretty underwhelming for people who like to see a bunch of high profile trades this year.
The Wild are willing to listen on Dumba, LA will inevitably move Toffoli. Kings have a handful of other guys with expiring contracts too.
It’ll be interesting to see if SJ can move players.
