Rangers have rushed a few of their 1st rounders into the NHL over the years: Malhotra, Blackburn and Del Zotto spring immediately to mind, may be others. I think the biggest reason they haven’t done so recently and why most teams don’t is that the players they have selected aren’t ready for the NHL at the age of 18. Nothing wrong with that at all, as it is the rare few 18 year olds who are ready physically or from a talent perspective.

Was watching TV with my wife last night, I had forgot the game was on, and what we were watching was interrupted by a news cut in. It seems Zucc almost scored a goal last night. It was a big story on the news. All the stations sent reporters to the Garden. They interviewed Zucc fans in the street who were celebrating his near miss.
