The Rangers have a divisional tilt tonight at home against the NJ Devils and will be trying once again to extend their point streak to three games. They’ll have an uphill battle for sure.
NYR enter 3-6-1 of their last ten, NJD 5-5-0, including a win over Seattle in their most recent game. Other than PK%, the Devils outclass the Rangers by a good amount, PP% in particular, 28.9% (2nd) to 17.8% (26th)
Line-up wise: Shesterkin is expected back in goal tonight after a few games on the IR with an UBI. Kreider remains out with his own UBI. Rempe returns, for an unknown number of minutes, after his eight game is enough suspension. Newcomer Kaliyev is expected to play in, while Vesey is expected to be having drinks from the box upstairs. Kaliyev is an Uzbek born naturalized American, but not the first to play in the NHL. Chytil is out for an unknown number of games as nobody is fessing up to what is wrong with him this time after leaving Tuesday’s game early. Early reports have Markstrom in goal for the Devils (2.17 GAA, 0.911 SV%).

with no Kreider no Chytil and with carrick playing a trustworthy game lately lavy rewarded him with OT time in a hold the fort to rest bread line for 30 seconds. Not expecting to score. What a great moment for him. Solid teammate. Well deserved.
cuylle should get some OT time soon. This game he had the bad turnover when he was hit in neutral zone that led to goal.
