I’ll just say this: I loved the third period! The flow of the game was such that Pittsburgh had all the momentum, they were confident, and they kept pushing. It felt like the game was going to be lost. But our boys didn’t think so. They played better with, and without the puck, they pushed back, and, in fact, they had more chances to win it in regulation by the end of the period than Pittsburgh did.
I usually judge how they play any given night by how they perform at winning/losing board battles, and by how they pass/receive the puck. They were above average last night. How about three beauties, one by Lemieux to Kakko, one by Panarin to Fox, and the last one by Fox to Kakko. Three pretty easy goals because of how the pucks were delivered.

I just find it funny because the dig on him when he signed was that he played with Kane in Chicago and then he played with Atkinson and Anderson in Columbus. Now the dig is on Strome and it’s only because HE is playing with Panarin that he’s scoring. You have to love it.
Josh Anderson btw has 2 points in 12 games this year without Panarin on the other side of that line. Atkinson has 3 goals.
You can really see what Torts was referencing when he said NY fans only know half the story with the player we were getting in Panarin too. The hustle, the defensive play…It’s a bigger breath of fresh air than we are used to around here for sure.
Though if our team depth is looking good, giving strome a whirl at 3 c between lemiuex and kakko wouldn’t be a bad
Maybe if Chytil is our 2C strome could be a darn good 3c considering he’s an adequate fill in at 1c
Try Lias at wing and put Howden down at 4c
That third line isn’t a bad looking trio, Cregg. I like the idea of Chytil out there with Kreider creating some room for him too. Need Kreids back on his A-game though

There seems to be a bit of a bru ha ha taking place in Toronto. Dubas feels the fancy STATS say Codi Ceci has been very good. People watching the team play say not so much. Would love to hear Doodies thoughts on this.
I like Smith on the wing…he makes he me laugh every time he enters the offensive zone
I’m off my game a bit today James. Feeling a little down knowing there are only a couple of episodes of The Good Place left until the show is done. Very underrated show.

Leafs don’t seem too concerned with charts and maps. Others depend heavily upon them.
Look at Young Chayka. He’s built his team off of guy that are favored by the charts and suddenly they’re winning a few games and he’s got himself an extension that will take him to the ripe old age of 30.
Some say it’s the Ryan Strome of Television BDL. I went through it when Breaking Bad was finished.
Lias actually fed Smith a beauty of a pass the other night against Pittsburgh and all he could do was loaf it into Murray’s chest. Then people wonder why Lias isn’t tallying points.
Was not expecting to like it James. Have enjoyed every episode.

Lias is underused. His few minutes with Smith and Hailey is a joke.
It’s overdue to swap him with Howden.
Perfect cast, BDL. Enjoyable to watch an episode here and there during the week. Back in the day I used to do the same with Everybody loves Raymond (guilty pleasure).

Agree with you on wasting Lias. Advocating during the Pens game to just swap him and Boo if the job description is center those two guys and play 9 minutes a night.

Wicky needs SN to head his campaign staff. They plan to use Raider Nation to go door to door, swords in hand with death metal accompaniment. Not sure how well that works with this scaredy cat puff pastry electorate. Plus people focus on team red and team blue… black and silver will be very confusing but sure to get the Scandinavian vote!
Kinda nice not having to wait a week in between games. Feels like the season just started 5 games ago
So why did the rangers schedule a game during the fast hall of fame induction weekend?
I mean is Jesper just not going to play against Florida and go to his induction?
That’s an instant loss for the rangers without the legend in the line up.
