The Western trip continues. Our boys are 0-2 so far. They still have a chance to try and salvage this trip though, but it has to start tonight with better PP, defensive play, and better execution overall.
The Ducks are 4 points out of the playoff spot, so they will be desperate.
As per AV, same lineup. Hayes isn’t ready to come back yet. Catenacci and Kampfer are prucha’d.

I don’t buy it SN. High percentage, yes, but are Empty netters factored into shooting percentage?
Additionally – a great number of Grabners chances are high percentage chances – breakaways, odd man rushes, shots coming in with speed. He gets his fair share, but there are so many great scoring chances where he takes a boner of a shot. Not knocking the guy, but to the eye test he’s a 50 goal talent with 25 goal hands.

Rangers way too balanced, lead the league in guys with 10+ goals, which is nice, but you lose three guys and there’s nobody there to carry the team. Can’t fault Nash, but he’s not enough at this stage of his career.

I won’t catch the whole thing, but catching up on the replays, that Miller play was a doozy, as Sittoo might put it–the bad pass, OK, everyone makes mistakes, but the complete give-up-and-glide afterwards? Stunning. Such a key guy for this team, that had to be deflating for his teammates to see.
Not sure if you were kidding about Miller, Wick–all I have is that one replay, which was not good.

Norm, I’d say that was on the singular goaltender not goaltenders. Hank took it on the chin(rightfully) in the pg. I thought Pavelec was decent. The boneheaded turnovers, which the Allstar goalie failed to erase, did them in. Otherwise they played pretty well. Oh, AV benching Miller for the last 2 periods was idiotic…

Well, just home from that debacle. Actually, the Ramgers played well enough to win. 44 shots, Gibson played a good game for the Ducks and Buch missed a wide open net that would have made it 5-4. Liked the following: the play of Buch, D’Angelo, Carey, Fast, Nash and Grabner. Did not care for the play of Holland, Desharnais, hated the hideous play of Smith, Miller, Zucc and Henrik. The first one, a complete shock that it got past Henrik. The second one, a breakaway while on the PK with Smith standing around wondering what happened, the third one, a very bad turnover by Miller but a 25 footer without a screen right past Henrik. He needed to be pulled for sure. Have to tell you……..they look a lot like a club that should be sellers at the deadline. Lots of Ranger fans again, but an embarrassing result. Any reasonable game from Henrik and they win that one for sure.
Smith already ate too many Papa Johns, that’s why he was in street clothes so much.
We are going to be sellers – question is how far will they go? Just the pending UFA’s or will they go big and look at Mack /Zucc/pending RFA’s ?
