Let’s give it a try. The winner will get two tickets to the Tuesday, January 16 game against Philadelphia at MSG. Tickets are in 200 level, lower corner, Rangers shoot twice. The contest will start now, and go until “It’s Go Time” post at 6:30 pm.
Some rules.
1. This is new. I don’t have time to go through hundreds of posts, and check IP addresses for double entries. So if you never posted on Rangers Report 2 ( since Doodie took over), your entry won’t be counted. Apologies in advance, but that’s the only way to avoid spending too much time judging the contest.
2. This one is easy.
– Pick the score. It has to be exact. Not closest. Not margin of victory
– First tiebreaker: Game winning goal
– Second tiebreaker: Rangers’ shots. This one can be the closest, but WITHOUT GOING OVER
– Third tiebreaker: Penguins’ shots. Again, it can be the closest, but WITHOUT GOING OVER
3. Please don’t use abbreviations, nicknames, colons, semicolons or any other punctuation between the team name and the score. Try to keep it simple, it’s much easier for me to scroll through the entries.
The best way to do it, is to copy and paste my entry below and enter your own stuff

To the last thread, didn’t Jean-Paul Sarter play for the Flyres?
Or is gibbreish ovre?
DaveB-Just brutal!
As hard as it was to part with Talbot and Hagelin, Sather’s lack of return on either one made it even worse. And then Hags gets traded to the Pens, beats us in the playoffs and . . . well, you know the rest.

My friend from Cali just wrote this to me:
“The smell of charcoal has been filling my nostrils for several hours now. The whole damn valley is on fire. Had to brush the ash off my car this morning and it’s still coming down. Traffic is gnarled as major roadways are closing left and right. It’s just smoke everywhere. Pray for rain for us.”
Total insanity 🙁

Adam Rotter: I wonder how much this move has to do with Hartford’s goaltending and how much it has to do with adding a veteran Czech player to be around Filip Chytil. It’s probably a combination of both as the Rangers look to upgrade things in Hartford as well as add a mentor and someone that can speak the same language as Chytil. Mazanec also provides some depth for the Rangers in the event of an injury to Henrik Lundqvist and/or Ondrej Pavelec. He has some NHL experience and a number of seasons in the AHL as opposed to the Rangers needing to call up either of their current goalies in Hartford, both of which are in their first pro season in North America.
1 goal 4 assists in 25 games. LOL. Worth every penny of his 6×6 contract.

The only difference between the 2 goalies tonight is that our AHL starting goalie has spent the whole season in the NHL.
