Interesting thought. I like the tans approach to winning. They don’t overvalue first round draft picks and normally trade them for proven league players instead of maybes or potentials. They also make their draft later draft pick success an important part of the teams depth etc.
They do their draft homework and get true value in the the mid late rounds while continuing to improve their roster with actual players by using high round picks…I like it.

JT, btw, doesn’t have any restrictive clauses in his contract. That’s because he was traded to Vancouver before he was eligible for UFA status. Vancouver didn’t honor his trade clause that was given him by Tampa. Teams can’t do that anymore.
If he’s moved, it’ll be his 4th stop. He’s got talent and a not terrible contract considering the talent. For his sake, maybe he’ll get his act or perceived act together at his next destination.
