They are playing today against Seattle, then Tuesday against Florida until they enter a two week hiatus. Would be nice to collect a few points because it’s getting very cozy at the top of Metropolitan.
Also, future former Ranger Mark Giordano will be on display, and former Ranger Colin Blackwell is about to score his first career hat trick.
I am not watching this game until late tonight, so watch yourselves đ

Thatâs absolutely possible. I find it difficult to believe the hedgehog moves kakko or strome in a deal looking at the rest of his dark year tenure.
The dollars working with both pld and Meeka seem really really tough though. But thatâs a whole different can of worms that leads a whole different number of directions that could turn into a team not playing the way they are so far this season that could be more top heavy and less resilient and defencively responsible (possibly a lot worse in the standings as well).
A smart subtle play on the gwg was Trouba and KAM switching sides on the faceoff so each had their one timer available or their twister was more towards the center of the ice instead of bad angle
Worked out well.
think strome would have been dealt in a heartbeat, just as i think he would be now if the return was a young rising star center.
Everything Gorton did and Drury has done to date vis-a-vis Strome has made it clear that Strome has never been the preferred longterm option for the organization. If he ends up being re-signed it will be due to a combo of Chytil not being at all what they hoped he would be by now and Drury, like Gorton, not being able to obtain another longterm replacement.
But if PLD could have been bad for Strome, Buch and Krav/Nils or Strome, Krav and Nils, PLD would be here or he should have been. And if Buch isnât traded in that deal he still could be here at least for the season and think Goodrow is still here, but not Nemeth and maybe not Reaves.
So have to think Kakko was the stumbling block and I canât really blame Gorton there, as youâd have to have a real pair and be really sure about PLD to make that trade (and it wouldnât have been a 1 for 1)âŚand imagine the uproar if PLD then went on to have the year he did last year in WPG.
Sad thing is it likely would have been a good thing for Kakko too as think heâd do better getting the opportunity to be one of the go to guys at even strength and pp
Ha ha! Suck it chiefs!!
Another great game! Bengals are an inspiration to Giants and Jets fans. Got to have a QB though.
I’m not a Brady hater and he may be the GOAT, but he’s a punk for leaking that he might retire on the eve of the AFC and NFC championship games and then not confirming it. Hats off to Burrow and the next generation of QB’s, especially Mahomes, and Allen. Personally, I’m pulling for Stafford.

Honestly if strome was as easily replaceable and expendable as you seem to think he is he would have been gone multiple times by now.
Just saying
Hopefully they get a young stud under contract two way centre that out performs strome offencively and defencively to play with Panarin very soon.
donât think heâs easily replaced, but if Gorton had him in his longterm plans he would have given him more than a 2yr deal and if Drury preferred him over Mika heâd have been signed first
Sam Bennett!

Sure, anything is possible. Your opinion on the possible inside the organizations plan and process and stromeâs unimportance is unique and different, thatâs for sure.
love the way kreider plays. consistently goes to crease area. love his speed and size as well. inspiration to the young guys too in training. he’s my Captain.
You guys checked the roof?! I think it’s on fire!
A 40 foot, (high) wrister from a guy who hasn’t scored in 30 games, and y’all think you’ve found Bobby Orr. He has NEVER taken a man out in front and never will. Foist him on some unsuspecting GM who’s as blind as are y’all. Y’all know who y’all are, I presume.
Allen Mahommes Burrow will be awesome playoff rivarlies for hopefully years to come.
Throw in a Lamar Jackson and kyler Murray
the next gen of QBs is here
Rodgers Manning Brady Breese rothleaberger had a long run
Coos. Miller played solid tonight. Took the body a few times. Had a few gaffs as usual. Not a perfect game but Iâm seeing some grown and more physical interactions as we go. Still a ways to go. But Iâm hopeful he progresses in that arena and he certainly has the right role model in Trouba who can offer some protection until he gains his man strength.
Will also say
Iâm more impressed with Zach Jones every time he plays
Last year I was worried about his size and being another âoffensiveâ minded Smurf D
But. He doesnât get manhandled out there. His escapability is high end. His decisions are quick and usually correct. Great passing and great skating.
Heâs an NHL player
No reason he couldnât be Schneider or Troubas partner on the left.
He is also proving to scouts his value as a trade chip while playing. With fox out for sure. So itâs all good with him right now with Jones.
(Growth not grown) from 2 posts up
Gorton should have locked up Stromeo several years back but chose not to…thatâs not on Drury
Lol, Steve Lemme giving it to nhl network about rangers all stars.
Reporter: What happened on the breakaway?
Miller: Uuh, it didn’t go in.
JBytes: What happened to Miller’s eyebrows?
S o Kreider is the only one going to the ASG. It’s a BS event. I don’t watched the ASG for any of the sports anymore.
So we are pretty spoiled complaining about wins now. GG wasn’t happy though so we aren’t bring too critical. They need to get everyone healthy and get back to the physical play they had earlier in the season. The two weeks off should help.
yes Gorton could have made a 4-5yr deal at $5.5-6m/yr work under the cap at that time.
and Drury could have not given Chytil a 2yr deal at that number this offseason and/or Nemeth a 3yr deal with some NTC protection (knowing even that would eat into available cap space) and/or not signed Mika first or at all.
Doesnât mean Gorton didnât or Drury doesnât like Strome, but they either werenât yet sold on Strome as the top choice to lock up at center longterm or in one or both cases Strome rejected offers and chose to bet on himself.
The latter seems more plausible this year than two years ago, but have to ask Gorton, Drury, Strome or his agent to find out!
glad Shesty not in all star game. doesn’t need to risk injury in skills competitions.
does Mika need to sit a game after all star game for passing on being selected (albeit via fan vote)
The Wick. Lmao with most your posts.
I bet you do, you seem to be pretty fanciful and out there the very few times you post to see what issues you can cause.
NEW POST
I am very much of the philosophy of calling things out and shining light on issues than quietly letting them play out
The rangers arenât burnt out. The rangers know they have a two week break coming up. Itâs like kids heading into a long break. Alil mentally checked out
Bigger picture. The rangers won early in the year bc of goaltending. They then went on a run starting with either the panthers or the CBJ game in early November in which they played a hard 4 line forechecking agressive game.
Since coming back from the Xmas/Covid break they have starting believe the hype about them and getting lazier in the âplay the right wayâ category bc their POwerplay and top 6 and fox and shesty have been coming through.
They went from winning bc of goaltending
To winning the right way
To Have gotten alittle complacent thinking they can win without playing the right way.
And that brings us to the present tense.
They will win their fair share of games playing loose and relying on top6/Igor. And they will get in the playoffs. But they will get bounced early.
Itâs time to lay it all out against Florida. Take some time off and come back knowing what the deal is and what they need to do going forward
