First game for both Reaves and Gallant (albeit after two year break) back in Vegas. Judging by a couple of interviews over the last few days it looks like it means a good amount to both of them. I suspect there could be a Rolex Daytona on the table for the GWG tonight.

go all the back and you’ll see i’ve always said chytil was a boom or bust pick. Rangers screwed up his development from the start, but admittedly i had hope he would have shown more by now as there are raw tools and talent there. Certainly don’t see it happening here now, but still think he could turn into a decent player if put in a better suited role on another team.
And even with Chytil’s obvious flaws, much rather have him to include as one piece of larger trade as opposed to Howden, who Drury actively jettisoned for an ahl defenseman who was never signed and a 4th, despite the fact the rangers had no center depth at the time

Not sure what irked me more, the fact that Howden scored again or that he was 7 for 7 on face-offs at one point. He couldn’t score or win a face-off when here and now we are stuck with Chityl, who can’t score or win a face-off. This was a men against boys game, very ugly loss. GG needs to sit Chityl or Gauthier, that line is just not bringing anything to the table.

put aside any comparison between Chytil and Howden then some people still feel the need to make, and you’ll see that Howden is still very much a replacement level 4th liner. And he hasn’t taken that many faceoffs looking at his stats, which suggests he may be playing on the wing at times too.
That can be true while at the same time saying Chytil isn’t any good at the moment either
Most notably, whoever it was that identified Howden and Hajek as the must have players in that trade shouldn’t be making hockey decisions for anyone!
