They are not being dominated. Leafs are just a little better. Panarin has attempted way too many wish passes against a team that is playing solid D.

The leafs look as good defensively as I have even seen this group look. They have stifled the Rangers.

Rangers played them tough right to the end. Can’t win ’em all…
Hopefully they grow from this game. Strong effort, but, they didn’t get any puck luck. FOs hurt them at end when Leafs were able to clear it twice.

I just want what we saw in the 3rd more often. That’s the way they needed to play all 3 periods to win this game.

Meeka and Stromeo had tough games; if Matthews and Taveres are going to play 2-way hockey and not fly the zone; Loafs will be tough to beat; their D is weak and Muzzin should have had 3 penalties that were not called but forwards control the game.
The extra time Salmon Joe wanted back at the end was wasted in the first.

Pretty tight defensive game for 2 periods and Campbell played well in 3rd …young forwards are driving the net but need to stop when they get there
Watched most of it while partaking in a zoom call which was only mildly less painful to watch than the first two periods.
They need to play the way they did in the third the entire game. The team is good enough to get away with it against the lower rung clubs but not the top third. Hopefully an important learning lesson and at least they were not embarrassed tonight.

I am extremely pleased with Krakko’s progress he’s going to be a gamer. Zibanejad sux!
Goat Boy’s led them in shots. If he didn’t fly by on the move he made to the net he had a tap in on the rebound, but, when you go that fast it’s hard to slow down.
Takes a lot more effort to stop and start up again. He will hopefully learn; stay by the net and good things happen
It’s odd that I’m more optimistic about them after this loss than after some of their wins. Nils, Miller and Goat Boy are looking better.
