Good morning, boneheads!
I thought I’d be a lot more emotional and upset this morning. After all, it’s not only hockey stories. It’s been many, many years of friendship that I will cherish for the rest of my life. That isn’t going anywhere. For all of us.
I am emotional, but not upset. I’m happy for him. He deserves it. We will all miss his game reviews and hockey articles, and we all know very well these were THE BEST around.

/\/\ if this statement above is even REMOTELY true, I would want whomever on the Rangers does psychological analysis/personality vetting on potential draft picks summarily FIRED. How does an organization with the financial wherewithal of the Rangers make the mistake of drafting players like this?

Here’s my take. You guys know the blog got shut down and that ILB was basically at the point where he didn’t want to keep going.
Then we get it situated give everyone the decency of saying hey here is the deal and instead of just being cool with it some of you make a mockery of it and choose to break balls like it’s all a big joke.
So either you are incredibly clueless or you just don’t care.
You’d rather risk this place being shut down so you can mock Wicky or myself instead of refraining from a couple of things that don’t sit well with ILB that we all ask you to avoid posting about.
Say whatever you want. But I’ll tell you guys one thing- I’m done convincing ILB to keep this blog running. So the next time you want to get going on a political rant or compare this place to north Korea or bring up Norm or make comments about who is banned and who is this or that just remember that it’s probably one of the last times you’ll post on RR2.

I don’t like when this happens. It upsets me when I get a response like this from you. And certain others. It genuinely bothers me that sometimes within a response to me, I seee what the true impression others have of me. Some of you guys I don’t really give a damn bc I don’t really respect your views on things. But to the people here I do, it bothers me.
I don’t want to make you upset, I don’t my presence in your life to be construed as what I feel I’m being construed as.

It’s been stated here more than once, not just by you, that there are rules and guideline that the majority of lurkers and posters would like to see everyone follow to keep this an enjoyable place.
You made sure those were clear with the relaunch. At this point, in fairness to all of us who follow the rules, I think it’s passed the point of repeated warnings to the same few people who think it’s “cute” to push the envelope or think they are above the rules that the rest of us follow.
This is the issue I see, it’s the complaining about repercussions by the folks that break the rules that everyone else follows.
Again, rules/guidelines were laid out and post “no fly zones” were given with the relaunch.
Don’t want to be singled out or become an issue, follow the rules and you won’t be.
Aside from a few people who thing they’re above the rules, everyone else seems to be enjoying the relaunched blog and it’s content…I know I have been (except for problematic few mentioned above;))

I’m not a moderator here, but I am a long time poster and reader here. I come to learn about the Rangers, kvetch a little, and laugh a little too. There are a lot of highly intelligent folks who lost here. I love that. I also have great respect for ilb and his fellow mods who have worked hard (no pay) and make this place so much fun.
Just as I’ve seen Fishsticks trolls get shown the door from here in the past, perhaps those who engage in “political trollmanship” should be thrown out rather than shut this place down for the rest of us?
