Rangers (7-9-3) vs Buffalo (6-10-3), 7 pm start, TV-MSG 2
They are starting to get some guys back, slowly. Chytil is going to play tonight. Also, Kakko was removed from the Covid protocol but will not play. On the other hand, Bitetto, who’s been playing some pretty steady hockey for them is out because of injury.
I am going to watch this kid Eichel tonight closely. After all, there is more and more noise about him being a Ranger at some point. Thus far, I am not a big fan of his.

Frank Seravalli on Insider Trading reports since there are no takers for Tony DeAngelo he has let it be known to the Rangers he’d be interested in a loan to any AHL team. #NYR are interested in facilitating that but they need another team to step up, he’s not welcome in Hartford.
Overall that was not a good game. Not at all.
Neither team was very good.
Buffalo is just like us. Down by a goal or two and taking as little amount of shots as they can afterwards.

Have no idea what game you guys we’re watching, but the Sabres we’re beating the Rangers to the puck for the latter part of the 2nd and most of the 3rd. They controll ed center ice. The Sabres are not a good team. Did the Rangers play to their level and take most of the night off. The longest period of time they just kept on turning over the Puck in their own and were unable to get it out. Reminds me of the Rangers a year ago. We stole one.

The rangers let the sabres do that bc overall the Sabres have no clue what they want to do with the puck, I watched that entire second half of the game without a doubt we were winning and without ever feeling like the Sabres were pressuring us.
Just cuz they had the puck doesn’t mean anything.

This game was hard to watch. No flow for the home team. They did enought to win. Can’t wait for 2 vs the Bruins. That should be fun. Reminds me of when I first started watching in the late 60’s. Ranger Bruin games were war’s. Nice to see “Old time Hockey” Where Eddie Shore?

I have it (not because of covid) and I can tell you that losing your balance on a quick turn (a la the phantom twirl) is definitely a thing.
So they probably didn’t play much better tonight than they did on Sunday vs. the Bruins. The Sabres are just not very good. Sounds like Panarin may be edging back toward playing.

In the battle of meh vs bad…. meh prevailed… That’s how this game felt to me. So, in summary…. meh.
So the DJ was 8-3 at the dot tonight. A positive sign? Rooney was 0-7. Could Chytil have been any worse or are they afraid of him reinjuring his hand?
The Devil’s will play harder. ( I know I said it) They will have to be better on Thursday. Sounds like KK will be back.
