First.
Carp mentioned +/- in his article. I know it’s not a very useful STAT. But I do look at it differently though. Especially if you look at it over the length of many seasons, I think it’s important. So I looked at McDonagh’s. He is career PLUS 187! That’s one hundred byfuglien eighty seven! Without a single minus season. That means that over his career, 5 on 5, he’s been on the ice for 187 goals scored by his team more than against.
Must be all those minutes paired with Hedman 🤓
Ilb’d
Thought yous guyz might appreciate dis here, amma right?
‘If you want a long term Ranger jersey, buy McDonagh’s 27.’ – Carp. Gone too soon.
Will day again. Man are there some morons that post in the comment section at the athletic
It’s so much better here
Wow. Those must be SOME morons!
James are you using NG or LP?
The Athletic site is garbage.
It certainly wasn’t with Shatty.
I’ll pay to read Carp and when other beat writers find a cool story to share (ie columbus guy with panerins story in 2018). Also like seeing what pronman and wheeler say about prospects.
But I’m a happier person not reading the comments. So will refrain mostly
Mor-on than off!
LP, Beezle. Runs my whole house other than dryer and oven..
Dorion won’t re-sign Anderson. There’s your draft day goalie deal if you want Georgiev value…
Rangers in 94 got to the SCF having lost only four games in the tournament. The way people tell it they were on the brink of elimination the entire tournament.
Lightning punks in similar situation. Four losses on the way to the SCF. But 1-1 after 2.
I keep hearing and seeing little tidbits about reuanen being a top 6 candidate for the rangers this coming season
James I probably need to bury a 250 to get this generator thing done and looks like it may be difficult to get any of the local propane places to do so before the ground is a brick with a foot or more of snow… arg! I really, really wanted to keep this on a seperate supply from the home tank.
I missed my High School Reuanen.
‘The sun is out, the sky is blue
There’s not a cloud to spoil the view
But it’s Reuanen, Reuanen in my heart…’
Beez how much is your current tank capacity?
We’re at 300 gallons after the renovations lead to hwbb. Electrician told me that given the efficiency of LP on these units we should be fine for at least a week if we aren’t going crazy.
You deal with some pretty low temps up there so idk what your usage situation is but we are like the Wick clan. We only keep our heat high enough to feel our toes 😉
And what above the above ground “torpedo”?
Stamkos is in. First game since February
Yeah no watching the game tonight for me ILB lol
Goal! Beer me!
Two goals now. Give this opportunity to Kucherov and Stamkos one after another, you’ll be down 2-0 real fast.
By the way, that D-man that Stamkos undressed is no slouch. Esa Lindell.
Get the 221-Whatever it takes!
Two much vodka for both goalies last night it appears
Lol SN. Then he has the dream.
“21…22…whatever it takes”
Beer me!
4-1 Beer me again!
They’re making Khudobin look like a back up again. When I say “they” I mean both teams.
Tampa is unstoppable today.
It will be 2-1 after three. Book it !
Bold prediction there, ORF.
5=1 Another beer! They’re piling up…
5-2. What the hell, Beer Me!
By god, it is 2-1 after 3.
I have a new hobby! collecting empty bottles. It sounds a lot better than Alcoholic…

The Minx must confess. “I broke the blog.” Where is everybody? The Rangers south are up 2-1!
To put it in perspective, the Isles would have won that 10-0 last night…
Shatty getting ready to skate the cup. Carp says it will be 2-2 after 4. I wonder if that was Stamkos’ cameo appearance for the playoffs last night. We didn’t see much of him on the ice after he scored.
Dallas was in that game for about 5 minutes late in the 1st. No shows in the 2nd. Guess game one was Tampa’s heal up game.
Screw Nelson!
@James: I have an in ground 1000 for the house+apt. Best they do is fill it around 80-82%. Definitely don’t want to be mucking about under 10% in winter up here, flow can be unreliable even for buried tanks. Daily use is order 10 gal/day with the radiant at 66 in the house and 58 in the apartment. I burn mostly late afternoon and evenings as not fond of leaving unattended fires blazing when I’m out boarding.
If I can get a propane guy up here to even look, might fall back on 120g torpedo just for this winter – better than nothing – as long as it can be swapped out without a major vig for the 250 in the spring.
St Pete
be careful when you eat out. I saw a story of diners getting harassed in your area.
Omg Seth Jones is on drugs
Alex
Thanks the wife and I are well aware of the goings on when we go out the front door! We are prepared for the possible coming apocalypse! Having said that we pick our dining spots wisely!
In other news around: According russian “AllHockey”, Ilya Kovalchuk may continue his career at the New York Islanders. “Islanders” are negotiating a contract with the forward for a period of one year. The financial component as thy said, is not the most important part of the future transaction.
What else can you do in Columbus? Leapfrog parking meters?
Also:
Sports Illustrated Ryan Kennedy has unveiled a selection of ten National Hockey League prospectuses that are doing best in Europe right now.
It is noteworthy that four of them are representatives of Russia and look who is #1:
Vitaly Kravtsov (“Tractor” Chelyabinsk, Russia)
Philip Broberg (“AIK Skellefteå”, Sweden)
Jesse Pulyujärvi (Karpät, Finland)
Yaroslav Askarov (SKA St. Petersburg, Russia)
Brad Lambert (UP, Finland)
Lucas Raymond (“Frelunda, Sweden)
Anton Lundell (HIFK, Finland)
Matej Blumel (Pardubice, Czech Republic)
Ruslan Iskhakov (TPS, Finland)
Matvey Michkov (SKA-1946, Russia)
Beezle if you’ve been a customer for. While and the service guys aren’t ghouls they should hook you up no problem with a swap in spring. Obviously the elements are playing a factor in finding a temporary solution and it’s not like you’re just being picky.
Plus they should credit the remaining propane in the torpedo back to your account which may cancel out most of a swap fee anyhow.
Didn’t realize you had such a big set up as far as tank size. While I’d love to have even 500 gallons at max, we’ve been managing pretty well with the 300 gallon set up. Could always upgrade later on if we stay here long term.
James – I’m trying to get new service just for the generator. I don’t want to use my current company as they suck (but a 3yr contract at 1.699 was too good to pass up). Managed to get hold of Suburban and Irving and both seem to indicate reasonable timeframes unlike the local outfits. Downside is either 2×120 verticals or a 325 which I would need to do the excavation first if I want it buried. Those exploding Tesla powerwalls sounding better lol
Starting to sound complicated lol. I have the standing verticals. 120x 3 is what I actually use I just refer to it as 300lbs because we estimate off of <100%
But idk man. Sounds like you got your work cut out for you.

Jimmy Hayes dropping bombs.
Knowing the Hayes bros they are probably just looking to troll the ranger fans.
BUT………
And I’m pretty sure I heard big Walt say on a Spittin chiclets interview. He thinks it’s great to play in a canadien market early in your career.
Brady tkachuk doesn’t want to sign long term in Ottawa. From my POV. Sure Ottawa can get another 3/4 years of Brady and then trade him and get a lot of value and the years of service at a decent rate, and you’ll have stuztle or byfield and another prospect the whole time. But that doesn’t equate what drafting Alexis Lafreneire would mean to the franchise in all ways, and it’s a once in a decade chance to even have the ability to seal it and go get that guy.
I’d move tkachuk and the 3OA for lafrieneire if I were Ottawa. And from a ranger perspective, if it were my call, it’s the only combo that can make it happen. It has to be tkachuk and the 3OA. If gorts wants to bleed more or not do it, that’s why he gets the big bucks. But from my POV that gets it done, nothing else does. Not a package of 3OA and other pieces, or tkachuk and other pieces. (Unless it’s tkachuk and 3 other former 1sts)
Tkachuk and 3OA or Ottawa’s just wasting their time.
Thanks for the memories CCCP 🙁
JPP its the wrong Tkachuck. Not doing that deal.
Kid Frenchie is here to stay. He’s too damned cheap pound for pound, and JD and Gorton of Gloucester like those big fish cheap.
I cut it off before Martinez scores. I don’t need to see it again.
Never castrate one’s self…it tends to expose your shortcomings.
Enjoyed the body checks of the last few game’s. Could do without all the cheap shot’s yesterday; but what can you do.
With what’s at stake, I think it is very foolish to play game’s back to back. I know TV rules but this can’t be good for the Game or the players. That said I am still sticking by Heddman or Shatty for the cup winner. With there be no NY Giant’s season, again; can’t wait for training came to open for The Ranger’s.
If Gorton trades the #1 he is really Sather in disguise!
Watching the Stanley cup highlights was fun. When LA NY came on I was yelling at Zucc to pick up Martinez. Guy is either hard of hearing or very pig headed. Well I guess if I yell louder or earlier in the clip maybe he will hear me. Oh to dream.
Jeffery,
Yup, Zucc went chasing the puck, instead of picking up the trailer.
One more thing on McKeens prospect guide. They have 4 Rangers in their top 31. Shesterkin, Nils, Kravtsov, and Miller.
