I was going to copy an article my son sent me on a COVID vaccine, but it was much longer than I realized. So I will try to sum up. Some good new out there. Oxford/AstraZeneca phase 1and 2 clinical trial results show that their vaccine sparks an immune response, and a T Cell response. Immune gives you the antibodies, T Cell kills cells that antibodies should flag. This occurred in 1100 of 1100 people tested. 100%. Phase 3 is a much bigger phase, but signs point to this being the vaccine by spring time.
I will not answer questions on this because I do not fully understand it. My son dumbed it down for me. Maybe Ilb can add something to it.
@BDL – the one downside of that vax is it may require two shots. That is not an issue for me, but might be for the large population.
BDL, I believe I already mention T-cells before. I think we now are starting to understand why some people are not susceptible to Covid at all without having antibodies. That was the initial theory behind the explanation why children are not susceptible to the acute Covid infection. Kids get exposed to different types of Coronaviruses early in life ( most cause just common cold ) and develop T-cell immunity. Some other individuals too. Itās kind of memory cells our body develops. That this new vaccine produced both antibodies and T-cell memory is very encouraging.

while potty training back in the late 80’s (this is prior to potty training becoming legal in Colorado)…one of our sons was hands free pissing all over the wallpaper in the upstairs bathroom like a defective sprinkler…when my wife said i’ve had it ..i’m goin out for a couple hours…well next couple of times it was me on potty training duty..i drew a target on toilet paper…told him to hit the target….no good still peeing all over without holding it…then next session put cherrios in the bowl and told him to sink the cherrios…no good….still he was pissing all over w his hands on his hips….finally i told him he had to HOLD his pee-pee while going and he told me ” I kan’t hold it..it’s too heavy…” i swear to God i couldn’t stop laughin…he is the world’s greatest optimist ….. MSG has been saying they will show the game vs. the Isles. It may be like the Mets/Yankee game with play by play done remotely for both teams with a common video feed. Hockey is tougher than baseball to do off of a monitor.
