Good morning, boneheads!
I have some time this morning, but I can’t remember enough from last night to put my thoughts together. This is because I stopped evaluating each play when I see it, and because I am simply enjoying this ride as a typical Rangers fan. This is a playoff run, simple as that. Each game is a playoff game. And this guys surely playing like it is. I am not going to talk about the superior goaltending, a couple of star players in front, and a couple of young D who may become stars. All I know is we got ourselves a team. Still ways to go. But after the deadline it became obvious the foundation is there. Now all they need is mileage and a few additions. I do not know if they make it this year, but I am going to enjoy every moment of this stretch. I hope you do as well. This is fun!

Trouba.
Trouba what, BDL?
Trouba was very good last night. Aside from that thunderous hit, he was matched against Barzal 1 on 1 most of the evening. And he made Barzal’s life miserable.
Trouba smash.
Did you see Martin take a run a Kakko right after the Trouba hit? He missed of course.
Just read Carp’s review. I do not remember Lindgren crunching Martin, LOL. I’m too busy enjoying it and being nervous. This is a little different than the last 2 years, eh.
And my apologies to Kreider. Yesterday I mentioned that I believed his sickness on Monday was related to his contract negotiations. But after seeing him skate like Caber last night, and after reading Carp’s review, I now know he was really sick. Two minutes and a maximum allowed fine, ilb 🙂
Just recalled something else. Do not remember Martin running Kakko. But I remember Kakko fending someone off sucessfully with his big, ahem, jagr.
Smith played great after a shaky first . He definitely knows how to play with an edge this time of year
Kakko starting to frustrate me when the puck is on his stick
It was right after the Trouba hit. Shortly after PP ended. Kakko down the right side. Martin goes across the ice head hunting. Kakko sees him and Martin misses most of the check. Martin was trying to hurt him.

BDL not trying to break balls- thoughts on Chytil on wing?
Kakko is going to be fine. Right now he’s not thinking the game fast enough. He will make that adjustment and be the player he supposed to be. But yes, a tad frustrating right now.
Sloppy. I liked the idea. He was one the six best forwards dressed for the game. Get him in a top 6 role.
Let’s talk about DQ for a second. He deserves a ton of credit. It took some time for this young team to get it, but they are getting it. In game adjustment? Yup. After period one they clogged up the middle of the ice. All of a sudden the Fishsticks had to dump and chase instead of darting right through. Howden goal? Fox goes deep, Lemieux, of all people ( he isn’t that great in his own zone, just tries to run from one place to another ), is a good soldier who replaces Fox on the blueline. Shot, deflection, goal.
Kakko does 2-3 things a night that are really good. Most of the time it’s not when the puck is in his possession l.
Not losing hope.
Gotta drive. I’ll get to Chytil
Chytil is a handful to handle already. He needs more purpose in his game. Let him grow. Top 6 eventually. So is Kakko.
Panarin sets career high in goals and 3 points away from breaking career high in point all while playing with what’s-his-name & whatchamacallit…if they find a way to get into the postseason, it’s all on his shoulders. MVP.
Bepho, CCCP!
Panarin deserves full credit and should be in the MVP conversation for carrying the youngest team in the NHL to the playoffs.
If Kakko wore a different name on his jersey all season; people would be losing their shiit over this stiff that gets a shift no matter how bad he plays. He has, from an objective perspective, easily been their worst forward in 90% of the games he played in. The bar is so low, if he wipes properly after a big pooop, everyone gets excited.
Will he turn into a top pick stud with seasons of glory to come? Perhaps, but now he is a pylon in the DZone and adds little value in the OZone.
Sometimes bad habits are formed when a player is playing above their skill level. Poor DQ having to put him over the boards every game.
If they started Shesty Morgan from the get go and left Kakko in Finland or Hartford, this team would be sitting pretty in playoff city right now.
Quinnie said that was Troubas best game as Ranger….his hit took Pageau out of game for 17 minutes in a close game to boot. Pageu trying to impress new team but kind of dumb in a close game.
If Lundqvist was in net last night rangers lose the game and Kakko has been a disappointment, rangers organization should have sent him down to Hartford like they did with Chytil so he can better fine tune his game.
Kakko’s play doesn’t bother me.
He represents what this team really is: youthful, inexperienced, talented, and with tremendous potential that needs time to grow to fruition.
If this were a win-now team, like say, the Islanders, then yes Kakko should be in the minors. But the Rangers are not yet ripe, and neither is Kakko.
Kaapo Kakko will be fine.
LOL damn. And on that note, welcome back, SN!
Chytil did not look comfortable last night. I don’t think he’s looked comfortable very often any night they have him playing in the top six. And as far as I’m concerned that’s perfectly okay.
He has made strides as a center, I think the 3C role is perfect for him next season as he will continue to grow and probably give you 20-20-40 with consistent linemates.
I also think it says a lot about Quinn’s (lack of) confidence in Kakko. Two very young guys you don’t want to leave exposed in the lineup.
As for the game, I thought it was kind of a weird one. Isles’s first goal shouldn’t have happened. The disallowed goal I thought should have counted. Rangers weathered a couple of big storms but really needed to gain possession instead of trying to hang on at the end. You could feel the tying goal about to happen at that point.
I thought Strome had a tough game. Chytil too obviously. Panarin, Mika and Fast were really the only guys going in the top six. McKegg may have played his best game as a Ranger.
And how good as Di Giuseppe been? He’s the epitome of ‘not everyone needs to be a star’. Keeps it simple. Plays smart, physical hockey, isn’t bad with the puck when he’s got it.
And Georgiev= balls as big as the building. I think it’s probably done some good for his confidence to see it’s Hank and not him that’s faded into the third goalie spot. 42 or 43 saves and just owns the Isles for the third time this year. Stole the win for them.
wait how was Panarin a plus 3 and have a goal and an assist without playing with Fast?!
As noted above, Kakko shouldn’t have been in the NHL this year and he may still not be quite ready next year, which is still fine. Hopefully his time here this year has shown him and the club what he needs to work on over the summer and he puts in the necessary work (which i expect him to do)
I’ll just add that one thing on my wish list for next season is a veteran center for that fourth line that’s more of a face off specialist. Zibanejad needed to win that final faceoff in regulation. He lost it clean and the Rangers never took possession of it again until the OT. Rangers were 18/47 on the night.
Di Guisep-new center/improved Howden-Lemeuix is how the fourth line should look next year in my opinion
Yes, NYR are not legit cup contenders but they are in the team wining and player development business. The young players who have played all year are now more experienced and contributing at an NHL level; Fox (21), Lindgren (21), Buch (24), Lemieux (23), Georgie (23), Tony D (24) and Shesty (24) also throw in Goat Hero (21) who adds value shift in, shift out; others are somewhat inconsistent Chytil (20) and DQ’s son Howden (21) and then one player is providing very little Kakko (19).
.
It’s not just Kakko; Jack Hughes and Kirby Dach are not doing much either. Just doesn’t make sense to ‘give’ a player a regular shift just because he is a top pick.
Montreal will play a chippy game. Can easily be a let down game.
The home and home with Philly has me concerned.
Panarin players the game with joy. Really fun to see a guy like that on our team. He acts more like a “kid” than the kids most nights. I was pretty stunned at Brendan Smith’s play last night. I hope he can keep it up. The degree to which these gifs have come together is also good to see. We have a real team instead of a bunch of mercenaries now. Shame they gave up the tying goal…….you really could feel it coming. They played prevent defense the last half of the 3rd period and gave the Islanders a vital point. Too bad. The happy ending makes up for it.
Need 4 of the next 6 points. Probably more. Philly strikes me as team that has some mojo, like the Rangers do.
TYM said “happy ending”
Rangers closest wild card competition’s
Last 10 games
Toronto 5-4-1
Isles 4-5-1
Bluejackets 1-4-5
‘Canes 5-4-1
Panthers 4-6
rangers 8-2
Glad the guys are “OK” but man I think the Rangers would be in a good spot if not for the car accident and riding Shesty the rest of the way. They may make the playoffs without him but I’d like to see how the team would have done down the stretch with him
Further more.
The flyers are up on the Rangers by 7 points. But the rangers play them 3 times and have a game in hand. If the rangers take all 3 from the flyers and win their game in hand, the rangers will pass the flyers.
Rangers have control of their own destiny. They don’t even really need other teams help.
Just focus on the day, practice, battle, shift, period, game. And things will add up.
Let’s go rangers
Anyone wants to go to the game on Sunday?
Some truth to what SN has said re Kakko. The time to have sent him down was after Kravtsov came back.
The play at the end of the game was disappointing. Absolutely needed to keep trying to score, not sit back on their heels and pray that Georgie could stop 43/45 instead of 42/45. Thought given the circumstances and matchup Georgie played a pretty good game. The freak goal sucked and certainly could have had a llittle help there so no man alone in front. Smith exceeded expectations on the whole.
Cccp
I’ll go
I don’t want to start getting too excited about playoffs. But the more you look at it, the more becomes possible that there will be Carolina or the Rangers for the last PO spot. This is very doable.
Georgie and I will have to talk some QFT!
Chytil could be a top 6 guy at some point no doubt but it isn’t now. He’s a bit of a matchup problem on the third line for other teams and that’s where he needs to stay. Didn’t look his best last night.
Kakko will be more than fine.
Love the punisher, he’s awesome with those hits.
Can’t believe people in the game thread were calling it a head shot lol.
I was starting to feel the rangers had a decent shot at making the playoffs until Shesterkin got injured in a car accident.
I hope Trouba plays like he did last night so I can eat crow, not going to taste good but I’ll sacrifice it for the rangers. 😊
Who ever is modding. Sorry for the typo. And you don’t have to release it. I was just venting about my animals. Non hockey related. No biggie
Kaako I agree earlier I’m year I wish he was given time in AHL
But last night and past few games he is finally finding his game. He’s using mini reverse hits to protect the puck and create some space for himself. He’s coming along.
Gautier has a nice first period. He is not shy to use his size! I’ve been impressed.
He’s everything Gettinger has yet to show.
This Toobuh I like!
Wicky
Wanna put your mouth where the Garden is? lol
Here’s the thing. They have some really talented young RWs that are going to be players in this league and give them a lot of depth on that side. Right now they really don’t have any of those guys ready to play consistent top six minutes.
I don’t think Quinn will move Gauthier up as he’s still very green. I think if Buchnevich is going to miss Thursday I’d probably move Fast to Mika’s line and slide Strome to the RW with Panarin and Chytil. Strome is the better center but he’s also the better RW and it may be to Chytil’s benefit to stay with the position he’s made strides with this year. I think you lose less that way.
Wicky, in my defense regarding the Trouba hit, I was trying to get my wife and daughter to stop asking me things during the game. Politely, of course. 🙂
James is right the Rangers gave up that tying goal maibly by losing the D-zone faceoff. Off season priority a 4th line face off specialist, got to have one for just that situation.
Agree on Chytil James
He did well as 2C when Mika was hurt
This team is beginning to learn how to win hockey games. Panarin never ceases to amaze the pass to Zibanejad was remarkable!
agree on Di Giuseppe hes been getting better every game…..his call up coincided with this nice little run Rangers have been on
maybe Smith brings out the best in Trouba? SkjeL was always a bit timid out there, perhaps Trouba didn’t want to frighten him showing his true colors.
I’ve been in the Kakko-to-Hartford camp all season, and there’s no escaping how poor he’s been this year. The -23 by now tells a bit of a story and his low 5-on-5 pts./60 is the same as McKegg’s. But he’ll be fine, we all say–I’ve said it more than once–except there’s really no evidence he will become other than a PP specialist. 5 v 4, he has time and space to rag the puck and pick up some assists, but for now he’s sort of a poor man’s Hayes who can hold on to the puck for long stretches. But he tends to hold it until he loses it or sees an easy pass–he does not create. And, of course, he is slo-o-w. Without the #2 tag, there’s no way he’d have been in NY for every game, and it looks more and more like a lost opportunity that he was not allowed to develop in the minors. If he suddenly picks it up in the heat of this stretch, I’ll love it. One assist in the last 8 is not a great leading indicator for that.
Guiseppe and the Goat have balanced and solidified a bottom 6 group of forwards that was horse manure for most of the season.
Good teams win against good teams on the road. NYR is a good team!
Wonder if Henk’s hair gets a start over the next week if Boy George continues to shine. Based upon DQ’s moves of late; big NO.
Beez- def something to be said for a guy like Smith beside Trouba. Obviously nothing more than a short term solution but Smith has that edge that they need on D. He defended well once he settled in last night. I’m sure they’ll be back together Thur night.
doubt Hank starts in Montreal but could see him getting Sunday home game vs filth
Rangers are fourth in the NHL in regulation wins. That tells you a few things too.
can we call De Guisepe “Digger” ….its a pain trying to type /spell his name
“I really thought we had it between the ears tonight,” Quinn said. “And between the legs.”
He’s not referring to quads and hamstrings as big as the building
U.S. equities gained for the first time in five days as investors were reassured by a steady performance by NY Rangers backup goaltender Alexander Georgiev. All three main American equity gauges were positive in the wake of the more than 6% slide in the benchmark S&P 500 over the past two days. Ten-year Treasury yields still lingered near the record-low close set Tuesday.
Very satisfying win last night although disappointing that the asslanders got a point…structurally tho..way too many shots against…but progress is being made and man that hit by Trouba ! I loved seeing that ..shades of Barry Beck #5
also reminded me of Ron Harris
The isles can now develop a Trouba Sucks chant
(Agree with carp and many intelligent fans here the pot in sucks chant needs to go away, was a clean hit. Many hits worse than the potvin hit. The phenauf on Sauer was probably worse. Eric staal on Marc Staal caught him defenseless. All the ruutu hits. All the Matt Cooke hits. Many of the Matt Martin and wilson hits. Heck, even a bunch of ovie hits especially years ago.)
bobbyO you don’t like ‘Son of Joe’ ?? That’s the real meaning/translation!
@James: This is the stone I got. Specifically, the 15×20
I wonder if the garden is quieter now cause it was designed as being also a great music venue. So has New state of the art soundproofing and anti echo/reverb engineering.
Sports barns with tin roofs can get really loud.
Nice, Beez. This is what I think I’m switching to:
BobbyO
I’ve been going with DiG for quite a while now, it works
😉
Okay we have Dig, Digger and Son of Joe…all easier than spelling out whole name probably need a vote
cregg, interesting thought about sound at the Garden. I’ve watched Z’s game winner a bunch of times and its mostly to hear the roar of the crowd. That place sure gets loud
YA GOTTA BELIEVE
LETS GO RANGERS
PLAYOFFS OR BUST.
If they get there they will be dangerous.
They can score…….and that goaltending is superb.
The Mausoleum is also an excellent concert venue.
jpp, all good man.
See what happens when you get off the potato chips?
Trouba hit on #28 was TNT!!!!
Agree with Quinn, Definitely Trouba’s best game as a Ranger.
if it really comes down to playoffs or bust, well, I’d love to motorboat both, but if forced to choose, I go with bust every time
Norm, 10:34 – Sorry to say that I’m on the same page. (as were Barney Frank and Gerry Studds) (as in Page)
What’s Buch unhappy about today? He’s ‘sore?’ Somebody remind him he’s a hockey player, not a shortstop.
Fat guy said motorboat
Brrrrrrrrrrrr
Buch should ask Girardi if he’d rather get hit by Chara slap shot or an airbag. Put some things into perspective.
Kovalchuk is currently being paid by 4 nhl teams…Lmmfao
Goals af
Slowly but surely, we’re acquiring the kind of team grit that’s needed for post season runs
Gives him the perfect excuse to only play withabout 1/4 of the effort that he should.
Wicky….it’s like hockey alimony for Kovalchuk
Giuseppe – ‘Trader Joe’ ?
The Rangers are built….but still building. Gorton certainly has demonstrated that he has a recipe for success. I anticipate good things happening for at least the next 5 years….hopefully longer.
Khucklechuk is done and I’m happy to proclaim he ain’t collecting a paycheck from the Rangers!
This fight and the lead-up to it was such a great subplot but boy, Boyle’s brain got rattled that series
Did anyone notice how useless Staal looked on the Eberle’s goal?
Me and you, Eli.
Admired Pruster but why’d he cheapshot Opie the Victim?
Coos did st pete
And Rich
St.Pete he sure did. He actually bumped Boy George. Sometimes I am not sure if he is actually on our team. He has tipped in more past Shampoo Boy than anyone else in the league.
Great screener for the opposition.
The one D Man who not only will not move anyone from in front of the net, HE is moved from in front of the net if he dares go there.
Where my blood pressure pills be at? I’m changing the subject.
You will never change the subject.
Coos since you took your pills here’s a quote from Uncle Larry a few days ago……”Since returning to the lineup Dec. 6 following ankle surgery, Staal has been on the ice for 16 goals against in 456:40 of five-on-five hockey. Only nine defensemen in the NHL have played at least 450 minutes of five-on-five in that time frame and have been on for fewer goals against than the 33-year-old”
bobbyo, be kind, those pills can only do so much!
IMO, it’s way too early to judge Kakko’s speed potential.. He should gain speed and quickness as he becomes a man. He should also become better at protecting the puck from defenders with his big body.
What does concern me though is how long it takes him to pull the trigger when he does shoot it or when a shot is option #1. He’ll need to improve drastically with this skill if he wants to have a career worthy of the #2 selection in his draft class.
What did Gerry Studds say to Barney Frank?
“Barney, let’s turn the Page”
Interesting, Papa. I see it the other way around, that he’s less likely to pick up speed–though it’s possible if he works with a specialist on his technique–than he is to improve his release. Great scorers have at least two things in common with their shooting: accuracy when they have time to pick it, and quick releases to the frame when they don’t. Kakko needs to know when to stop loving the puck before shooting, which in the NHL is most of the time. The shot-blocking and goaltending is just too good at this level. His quick hands around the next for in-close deking are just fine, though, I think.
Norm – agreed on Kakko doing the haze impersonation. He’s ok with the puck until it’s taken away, makes a simple and obvious pass, or just passes it away to an opponent. That’s what he does. Spot on !!
Kakko needs to watch film of Breadman, study with Breadman, work with Breadman, get help from Breadman, etc etc …..that said, Breadman is gifted and his skill set is unmatched by anyone I’ve sieved ever seen…
If Kakko is on a Haze trajectory that’s not bad. Hayes can play hockey. But I think Kakko should be even better.
Im glad we are done with the Islanders this season. 3-1-0 is excellent. I’m excited to see what these next few games bring.
A nice fat winning streak would be uber great. CBJ is fading and we have 3 games in hand. Carolina is catchable (2 points ahead and no goalies )
Another question:
Carp called the posting of 5 consecutive posts a “Pageau”, in honor of JG Pageau’s 5 goal performance against the Rangers in the playoffs…. now that Pageau is a Fishstick, do we do away with the honor?
Also — Fishstick Nation acts like Pageau is the Second Coming… wonder what they would’ve been like if they had actually signed a player like Artemi Panarin?
I think Kakko’s slow release is a function of his low confidence at the moment.
Kakko’s problem is a confidence problem. A lack of confidence results in hesitance at the moment of truth….in his case when to shoot the puck. That is going to change. The boy has the tools to be an excellent hockey player. Patience is prescribed here.
Chytil is built like Jagr…skates like him as well. While he is not Jagr…he too is going to be an excellent player.
The big question I think for now is what will Kratsov be? I think in his case some growing up will help. He too has the tools. I think the future is bright for our favotite team.
bobby/Norm: Have someone in the family keep a lookout for 0ptometry two for 1 specials. You’re both blind and Sportswriters who should know better don’t know better. Sad.
Igor cam in here and suddenly was anointed the Boy Wonder at the expense of the kid who won another one for us last night. Amazing how some people jump on any bandwagon that passes their tent.
Kakko unimpressive. I don’t care what Q says. Staal ditto.
it’s pronounced EYE-gor
Eye Gore is what #48 had.
Smith, too. I like his moxie but he’s really discombobulated in his own end just short of Staal. And Stall is totally, totally useless in the O zone. Totally
AA, that winning record against the Islanders (as well as the ‘Canes) may be more important than we realize right now, Looking at the remaining games for NYR, NYI, BJs, It seems to be that the Rangers need to go no worse than 12-8 (bettman bonus points not withstanding). 96 points is about where they’ll need to be to make it. Islanders of course with the easiest remaining schedule after their next two against St. Louis and Boston.
ER doctor after the accident “you know aside from the rib….I’m actually quite a brilliant surgeon. I can help you with that hump”
Igor: “what hump?”
Ilb…didn’t see your comment about Kaklo’s confidence before I commented. So I was not copying you. But one thing is clear….great minds think alike.🤡
im Not worried about kakko at all, and if I was, his skating speed would be the least of my worries.
Kakko/Gauthier > Beauvillier/Wahlstrom
Zibanejad > Hayes
Quinn > AV
Breadman > every player in the league
Wicky do you bring Ilb on Big Couloir?
Always
Coos I do need new glasses….maybe i will listen to Maloney on the radio instead of watching Sam and Joe
Kakko could be a difference maker and 40 goal scorer but he contributes very little now. Confidence is the other side of the coin from competence. Hard to separate the two.
Whle Kakko’s hit was a big turning point with Pugeot taking himself out of the game; his molestation of Barzal around the net all game was absolutely critical.
Apparently Tony D’s nickname for Pepe is Buffalo Head
Quinn>AV? Please. You are what your record says you are and Quinn doesn’t even have one yet–great job so far this season, though.
As to Hayes and Kakko, Hayes could always create and Kakko doesn’t yet, though he’s still a baby, a much younger rookie than KH was.
TNT was blowing up islanders all game long….
Beauvillier has been a Ranger killer in recent years. Last night, he was god-awful even before he got raped by Panarin, no idea what he was doing out there to start 3×3 other than sheer force of habit I suppose.
Wicky takes some video next time! Just watched a few boarders go down it. Is it as steep as it looks from the helmet cams? Once they are down looking back up it doesn’t look so much.
Beezle, it’s steep alright. But I’m also afraid of heights. So there’s that.
coos, we blind folk, bobbyo, me, many others here, hockey writers, the Rangers coaching staff, every visiting-team announcer I’ve ever listened to… we were wondering if you could cover the cost of our eye exams so we can join you in your more acute view of the Staal debacle.
SN, I assume you meant Trouba’s hit. And, agree, Trouba made Barzal’s life miserable all night long.
An Kooz calls me repetitive 🤪🤪
Correct
Georgiev in tomorrow vs Habs.
Quinn and AV to compare SC rings prior to home and home w Flyers.
Oh that’s right, NEITHER HAVE ANY.
Georgiev in net? In Montreal? Shocker 😃
Can someone explain this to me- what were the Sabres doing at deadline exactly?
Geez, how many times do I need to edit my own post?
Tough situation in Buffalo ILB.
I guess they want to see if Simmonds is a good fit before having to give him a contract to find out?
Skinner has 12 goals this year and has played in 52 games.
The relationship between the organization and Ristolainen is toxic.
Dahlin has been alright but probably won’t break the 50 point mark this season.
Won’t be long til there’s another GM change.
Lehner, O’Reilly, Kane…
Hutton Reinhart Middlestadt🤔🤔
Rumour has it Jersey did simmonds a solid because he wanted to be closer to his young family
I’d restart their rebuild by trading Jack Eichel and see if I can get someone I can build the team around in return. There is a lot of “I” in him, and very little “we”
Two rebuilding examples
Buffalo…..how you don’t do it.
Rangers….how you do
Thanks, James, for straightening me out on the DQ-AV business. I’d never thought of that rings comparison before. You are right, DQ is better.
Thanks, James, for straightening me out on the DQ-AV business. I’d never thought of that rings comparison before. You are right, DQ is better.
Did you guys see that AHL tilt between Sheppard and Kessey? Kessey had the reach but got KO’d. Out of the hospital so all ok. You can watch here https://www.hockeyfights.com/fights/n261021
Dude ate one to land two jack hammers to the face. Real deal Holyfield.
I know Sam gets some schtick on these shores, but I’ll miss his “Rangers win” call whenever he decides to retire.
Most logical way to keep fast.
Play up the benefits of signing a one year deal to protect himself from being exposed and claimed by Seattle.
And sign him next summer to a better longer term deal. 3yr 3AAV 4yr 2.75AAV.
To me fast falls into the category of player that teams will not want to protect. They sign him knowing we have him next year and if he gets claimed it means no one else does. Fast wants to protect himself from that. Rangers can both pay him long term and ensure he doesn’t go to Seattle.
And a one year deal, with a multi year deal coming the summer of 2021 does it
Trading Eichel would be admitting to fans and ownership that they botched the rebuild. That could have serious (and ugly) ramifications.
With that said, I think you’re right ILB.
For the same reason, stromes best play is to take a one year deal as well. Sure he’s still RFA next summer, but if the rangers expose him and Seattle takes him, he can walk after a year, they aren’t gonna do that.
Sharing with the media at some point that he doesn’t fancy himself playing on west coast again long term will all but seal that.
Unless Francis wants to play him until February and flip him as a rental. Don’t think thats the vibe within the locker room Francis would be looking for.
The main reason I’m disenchanted with SalmonJoe is they yak so much trivia during action along with neither will ever tell you who of our boys specifically makes mistakes and why. They afraid of Dolan or they afraid of player retaliation?
If this were last season and eichel were available, you think the rangers would/wouldn’t have put Mika in a package for him?
End of paycheck retaliation coos
Dolan known to have threatened basketball guys to not disparage his team or team members.
Strome turns 27 in July. UFA after next season
Norm – get a monkey to go with the street organ.
Boo Nieves played 4 games in NY this season. Vinny Lettieri- ugotz. That’s all you need to know about how much they’ve improved in Hartford.
Coos – I get that. Not talking about the full 60 minutes with Sam and Joe. It’s just the final call that gives me good vibes. Reminds me of PO games won in overtime. And his call last night had a certain PO ring to it. Maybe it was the nature of the goal as well. Mano a mano – clean hit puck – Islanders beaten. Doesn’t get much sweeter than that.
Boo and vinni…AHL all the way.
Saw it right off.
think with kakko you have to hope for a Howe’s type career as never projected to be a pure goal scorer like jagr. but like hossa it may take until age 21/22 before kakko hits his stride
*hossa not howe
Watch how fast Lemieux’s gloves come off after Bailey tried to jump Trouba along with Pageau. Broken hand and all.
Giorgio and Shesterkin. They pretty much did what Talbot did the year we could have won the cup against LA. Lundqvist wasn’t at his best and we were ahead and all five games and still lost four games to one. Just really afraid shampoo boy may try to force himself into one game or two and blow both of them. And what’s his reason “he needs to be Sharp”. At whose expense Mister Softee. Give me a freaking break. Also he feels he needs to talk to management to see what their plans for him are next year. Has he watched any of the tapes of his Stellar performances this year LOL
Loneranger…..gor Shampoo Boy the writing is on the walll
A) he refuses to read it
OR
B) he is illiterate
Either way his time here is up.
