Good game. Everything you want in a game with the sworn rival. Result in particularly.
Lol Kakko giving this blog a migraine
Stick Salute, Mama!
E3 is laying pipe
Thursday night in that sh1thole should be a keep your head up night
Thanks for everything joe. Stfu now
On to New Orleans and lets go Clemson!!!!
Great, great win. The best defensive game we have had.
Building a real home stand with this one. Holy hell what a series its gonna be. 8 out of next 10 at home too
We got the secondary scores, good bounces, turnover chances converted, and never let off the gas.
Big outing for Georgiev. Stating his case to be the future starter here for sure…
#10 is bloody magic. What a night. What a season, even if it ended tomorrow.
Colton Orr seemed like a great teammate and was one tough hombre
I know it tends to get lost in all the recent player movement. But the rangers had some real good character guys. ORR stepped right in and became a part of that team.
Hank to the press box
Outstanding games for Kreider and Georgiev. Shame
Colton was a huge force when he was on the ice
Stupidity= trading Boy George because Hankie won’t read the writing on the wall.
Yes, please, thanks!!!
Krusty is a second -and -a- half in front of everyone else on the ice. Kakko is a full second behind.
Hank’s in the way. Plus, he’s not winning here. Authorize a move.
Darren Langdon another guy who never seemed to
Lose a fight
Too bad the rangers wouldn’t throw in a draft pick or prospect to get rid of shattenkirk instead of buying him out. Could use that $$$$ to re up Kreider 😉
Langdon…the second half fighter without a suit.
They’ve finally found in Georgie a goalie who can beat the Islanders. Now they’re gonna trade him.
Thanks, Bettman.
Truth is ragdolling someone like that, is a KO. If your able to ragdoll somebody to the extent they are completely off balance. You have them lined up for a knockout punch if you wanted to land it.
I think ragdolling a guy like that is the ultimate sign of domination
My dad told me the suit story. Love that story
Ranger fan since the 60’s. Never seen a player as good with the puck as Panarin. Whether he’s gettin it, holding it, passing it or shooting it – he owns it. He’s turned Strome’s career around.
Remember when Mcdonut got ragdolled by Crosby? I do.
Or when he got ragdolled by Henrique? I remember that too.
Caught up on DVR–Panarin/Fast/Georgiev for me. Will now go back and read.
Personally I think hanks gonna retire. He only knows how to work and prepare one way. And I get this feeling he’s not gonna want to put in all the work It takes for a 25 game share which has him coming in a cold all the time.
He’s handling it well, but to me I think he probably feels like Eli felt ‘it’s not fun being a backup when you got the fire inside you still and are used to being the man
🙄!!
Ryan Lindgren is my favorite player. Respect to Georgiev for blocking out the noise, and the layoff. Respect to Buchnevich for finding a way to play through the flu. Much respect to Tony D.
Remember when the 4 seasons sang rag doll. Should be played evert time it happens.
Unneeded skaters: Hank, Staal, Skjei, Buch. Cost? $23,200,000.
Did not see the Blues games, so I don’t know how Skjei played in that one, but he was very good again tonight. That’s 3 of the last 4.
Donuts became a Priest when gloves were chucked.
Donuts became a Catholic Priest when gloves were chucked.
JGHFADO! Down go the azzlanders, caught part of 2nd and all of 3rd. Thursday should be interesting. Who will be in net, Shesterkin? Panarin is just amazing. Question of the night. How in the world does DQ convince Krakko to shoot the stinken puck?
Donuts became a Catholic Bishop when gloves were chucked.
Donuts became chuck steak when Bishop gloved his liners.
When Valley Kat asked who should start next game he didn’t even consider Hank. Didn’t want Igor to sit but if playing for win have to go Georgie. Poor Hank
BDL, agree. But it only means Now is the time to trade Skjei
Panarin is special
I have a feeling he’s gonn get better still. He’s so smart he reminds me of datsyuk. I
Soooo sick of magpie Micheletti. Tonight, he parrots Maloney, repeating his nonsense about Staal’s grit. He’s yet to take ANYONE out from in front of the net. Tonight, it was that scary brute, Brassard who made him look foolish. At the end, after the play, he fell on top of him. That’s the grit, I presume.
Not allowed to say Skjei is any good, Bdl. Watch out.
That blues game came at the perfect time I’d say. Prepped them for 4 important division games
Hank and Staal piss me off large, selfishly standing in the way of being moved.
You’re such a norm
coos, do you ever wonder why all these hockey people think Staal is a good defender? Is it a conspiracy do you think? Is Hajek the better option, really?
Trouba makes mistakes, but plays fearlessly at least.
Staal is 33 today? Looks 50 out there.
You are aloud to say it when it’s true Norm.
Norm, sorry to say you are FOS in this regard. Good defender my azz. You’re living in the stone age.
Yes, how dare those two adhere to their side of the contracts, the ones they were forced at gunpoint to sign. They need to tell their families it’s time to move, that the stability they were promised was just a lie. What’s worse is they actually want to play in games. The unmitigated nerve, annoying bloggers this way.
BDL – don’t make me have to address your erratic, often humorous spelling. 🙂
There are no restrictions on opinions here boys. I’d like to see Skjei traded if they can move him. He still made an abundance of mistakes in the game tonight, even though he made some good plays too.
ab/Norm/al
coos
It’s up to management to make the tough decisions concerning Hank and Staal. Gorton “You guys have 3 choices.”
1. Agree to a trade
2. Retire
3. Or enjoy the press box
Norm not finding enough battle on the Athletic site again.
To Staal, coos, I’m going to stick with all the FOS types–Carp comes to mind, and any announcer I’ve heard this year who doesn’t work for the Rangers–until he gives me a reason to think otherwise.
We cannot afford to be the Sisters of Charity.
Norm could coach this team to a 0-82 record and he’d tell us he deserves to stay because he’s building character in these young men.
A sheep in sheep’s clothing.
Sorry Coos,
It looked wrong when I saw it, and I thought to myself, if it’s wrong Coos will let me know. 🙂
I get into it over there, Papa, with a couple of posters, and I quibble with Carp from time to time on the ol’ shoot-shoot-shoot vs. fancy-boy stuff. Wicky on the other hand, not sure it’s the same guy 🙂
99% of the Athletic is people who only want to hear their own voice and to compliment themselves and each other to death.
Skjei’s play is too erratic for my taste. But I’ll agree he does occasionally make a good play or play a decent game. I’d rather see more consistent better decisions with the puck and defensive zone coverage, especially considering his pay rate.
coos, you ok?
“all these hockey people,” lol. You’re a corker, Norm.
Skjei should be ashamed of himself, big passionless stiff. King of the potato chips.
HANK “HEY NOW!” KINGSLEY was a #2…
HANK is hey now a #3 …
Do the right thing Hank and retire..
Before the Hank over the Hill jokes start
State your case, respect the rebuttal.
Death of a Salesman
And he’s STILL, after all these years, trying to play the puck – like a disjointed ardvark.
Lol…papa said re “butt” al
Hockey is just the best damned thing God came up with after peanut butter.
Price Harry’s got his nose open. Someone from (the cast of) that TV show his wife was on told me she was major disliked , obnoxious, and thinks who she is. I was surprised to hear it, especially when I was told that very same person attended the wedding.
I think Norm’s in Witness Protection. He moves around too much and Norm’s not his real name. Plus I saw him in a tee shirt that read: ‘You Don’t Know Who I am.’
Norm probably tried very very hard to please mummy and daddy as a yute.
Wait, you’re saying I use an alias on this site? Man, I gotta look into that, sounds suspicious. And, by the way, I wouldn’t beg to stay unless I was at least 1-81. OK, 1-80-1.
And I don’t use the term ‘aardvark’ loosely. (though I misspelled it originally, Bdl). 🙂
thank Jesus Norm didn’t catch that…
His dad was Thurston Howell III.
Spelung only counts on spelling tests
Avery on the newest spitting chiclets…should be hilarious
His mummy was Lovie?
Agreed to the idea of trading skjei maybe next season if only to create some space for the ‘yutes…
But also think he has had improved play and a decent game tonight…
Kind of reminds me of Hayes right before he left.
Not sure where that leaves me in the discussion?! Haha.
Whatever became of Eric B?
St Pete
4th possibility for one of them
buyout
But to more positive thoughts, as much as a Cup-driving Rangers team need Fast or someone like him to be a 4th liner on a line that you can actually roll (I love him and McKegg together on the post-PP line) it can no longer be a mystery why he’s playing with Panarin and Strome–that’s a nice combo of three different kinds of games. And even the Fast, uh… dislikers would have liked his hit on Toews tonight. Big night for the Jesper.
coos, can I call you “Lovey”?
It leaves you right there, Dom
The Court Jesper
Damn, Papa beat me to it.
And it was his wife, Papa.
Oops, got it. Mummy, yes, she was kind to me when I was away at boarding school.
Avery was on it a few episodes back arguing with an islanders fan about the Tavares treatment…damn funny
Strome and Panarin torturing NYI too hope to see more of this
Good job not taking penalties for our team, too… and taking advantage of PP for you Ruff- housers…
Zib pretty quiet this game. Hope it will not be a fluke win in the series and he will contribute.
Georgie at this point, should start the rest of the NYI games. Kept us in late in the 2nd I thought
Panarin now 10 pts. clear of McKinnon in the even-strength pts. category. MVP candidate, not a bad pick-up. I was adamantly against it.
3 point game, come on Clemson
When DMan makes a mistake, I feel better knowing Georgi is in net.
Papa
Yeah, as do I.
Don’t like the results of that targeting call. A penalty? OK. Disqualification? Too severe.
Hockey blog?
FOS
Papa
Agree, penalty yes, DQ no.
I like muse but he’s got a goofy posture.
Papa bear,
Don’t tell me there aren’t restrictions on opinions here.
😉
Lawrence is really off now.
Norm, how did you like the fights in tonight’s game?
Lol
Wick, I have to say, props to Smith and Haley for stepping up, but Gorton needs to get one or a couple of heavyweights. STAT.
From the sounds of what I read/hear.
Knicks should be looking to resign Marcus Morris, not trade him.
I get that if the dude is looking for MAX MAX salary, it’s a bad recipe to set the foundation of your team by paying and A/A- player, S+ player money. But if he’s already understanding of how leaving some money on the table will help him later down the line if his real goal is to win a championship with the Knicks.
Everybody takes a little less and you get to keep or add another player, so that when your in the Playoffs and battles you have more contributors.
Ranger Pups including Kreids should take notice of this as wel
Papa, as you know I pay little attention to fights. Pretty hilarious, though, the back-to-back staged ones tonight. Reminded me of watching Manchester Monarchs games a while back.
What a game
Norm, I have to agree. Tonight’s staged fights come in a very distant 2nd to the
Ranger / Devil staged fights at the start of the match on March 19, 2012.
Lmmfao, rhetorical question.
Reporter asked ring size for Burrow, he actually answered…lmao
I don’t think the reporter expected an answer
Colour guy was like wow, he had it done lol
The courage and guts these boys must have to slug it out while planted on frozen water and trying to balance on two .06 inch steel blades . Unbelievable
Well said papa!
Just read the Islanders blog report and I think Carp was tougher on the refs than they were!
Sign Kreider and Fast, trade Georgiev and bin Haley please.
There’s a desire here to sign Kreider and a bunch of other younger players, simonk, but you’re never going to get any traction proposing Kreider and Fast.
Kreider gets more traction than a Bugatti Veyron!
