Breadman is great on TV,but, when you watch him in person you can really appreciate how complete a player he is. Kakko is coming along, buy, needs to get stronger (he’s 18) and become more decisive going after the puck.
Middleton was before my time, but Krusty is damn good.
One tough hurdle for Kakko, who is not exactly diseased with speed, is to commit to skating as hard as he can in a direction that is not his favorite direction–the backchecking one. I doubt he was asked to do much of that in the past, when he was dominating lesser opposition.
What do you do with the goalies? Rotate them? Each plays one out of three? Or do you ride Shesterkin to see what he can do?
Kakko needs to shoot more. Score some goals. Worry about the other stuff later.
