As you already know, John Davidson was officially named the President of the NY Rangers. You can find the official announcement here.
It’s been long anticipated, and it was just a formality awaiting his former team official exit from the playoffs. It’s both an emotional and PR decision on surface. But I believe it also indicates that the organization is pretty comfortable with what Gorton has accomplished so far, and instead of hiring someone who could potentially start changing the course, they went with a safe, experienced candidate, who has been a part of this organization for years. Welcome home, JD!

Welcome Back JD! Fire Sather…
Go Bluuuuuuuuuuuuuuues!
Old Stogiepuss still a “senior advisor”
More like a senile advisor.
Bdl
I think when you step up to the Mic you take Kakko.
My lord, who’s the schill for the rangers and more specifically jd that put up the new post?
Need to take about 80% off the kissassery, sheesh.
😉
Eli,
I’m going to be very happy when the Rangers draft Kakko. But if I’m picking first, I’m taking the center.
Yeah, you take kakko 100% for both now and the future.
If the rangers are lucky bdl is making the decision for the devils.
If the rangers didn’t have young first round centres on their roster, it might make sense even though kakko is going to be a better nhl player over his career imo.
But of course everyone that wants to compare Hughes to super successful nhl players compare him to wingers, so maybe he’s destined to be an nhl winger which solves the problem
Blues Heaven!
You’re wacko if you don’t take Kakko.
Lmao Olga
People who evaluate talent for a living still say Hughes is the best pick in the long run. I’d put it 60/40 Jersey picks him. But Kakko has put himself in the conversation. Either way the Rangers will get an elite player.
I came here to check if the John Davidson honeymoon period is over yet…
Oh, and to make sure I’m the first to say Fire JD.
If he doesn’t bring Panarin with him they should can him. After Gorton brings the cup to NY in a few years JD retires and Gorton gets to be the President.
Let’s Go Blues!
Jbytes
Cccp said it last thread.
Carp talking about the point offer sheet in his article again.
Blues just need a good 20 minutes. And some refs that can see…
Good luck Schoeny.
I think your personality and passion for the game helped me the last generation of rangers become so competitive, So I thank you for that and always being friendly to a crazy fan.
Next chapter bud. There’s more hockey in your days
Blues need an insurance goal.
Where do you suppose you can get Blind Refs Insurance?
I’m pretty sure the Blues aren’t sure if they want to win this game or not right now.
Here’s where the Blues fans start to sweat.
Blues with no offense and not even trying to get some. Here comes OT again….
They’re just trying to kill off the 5 on 5 disadvantage.
Idiots. Buncha friggin idiots.
Who’s gonna miss the empty net from just past the offensive blue line tonight?
Seriously? Anyone else feel like they’re watching the Rangers in Blues jerseys during this fire drill?
2-2 after 4.
WHEW!!!
Now on to Yankee stadium and let’s win there….
Bruins will get some rest and get healthy.
2 for 2 tonight

the video won’t work unless you’re in canada but there is some discussion and a 15 person list on who might be traded this summer
Watch your girls around sharp.
Rykov is coming.

Very enjoyable watching MLB batters adjust their Velcro glove straps 10,000 times per inning.
JD looks like he’s been spending the past few years either in the Bahamas or under a sun lamp.
Wicky,
I see you took a shot at me last night😁
Here is how I feel about Kakko/Hughes. I want the Devils to take Hughes. Yes, I want Kakko. Kakko and Kravtsov on the RW would be a blast to watch. If they hit there potential, who do you match up against? But, if I were picking one, and the players are as close as these two are, I take the center.
I think the break is helpful in the later rounds when everyone has been beat up a lot. Chara and maybe Miller will benefit. Has John Moore played enough to get his name on the Cup?
