They will face the Sharks without one of their ZZ Top boys. Joe Thornton, who turned down a reported 1-year, $8M ( bonus included ) contract offer from NY to resign with his home team, is out with a leg injury. His decision eventually led to signing Kevin Shattenkirk by Jeff Gorton.
As you all know, NY claimed Cody McLeod off waivers from Nashville Predators today. His cap hit is $800K ( his actual cap hit is $1.33M, but $533K is retained by Colorado ). Catenacci was sent down to make the room for him. Cody isn’t with the team yet, though. So he is officially prucha’d, along with Kempfer.
Hayes is a game time decision. They need to talk to Rammer, according to AV.
