I have to admit, once in a great while, I use my phone to access this site. Scrolling down for five minutes is aggravating.

As for the PP I’m glad to see the Zibanejad-Kreider-Buchnevich line in tact for at least the PP.
Oh and BDL, to answer your question, I think Zucc is as good of a play maker as just about any of those guys (maybe not Kessel) but overall he’s not as much of an offensive presence. Kessel is obviously deadly with the puck. Simmonds is a multi tool player and a rare find in this league these days.
Speaking of RW’s, I think Winnipeg has the best 1-2 combo. Laine may score 50 this year and then you’ve got Blake Wheeler. I’d take 5 of either of them any day.

The only one I would take Zucc over is Bailey, and his numbers were very similar to Zucc, with a lot less ice time.

He played last season in Hartford, scoring 2 goals and 10 assists in 72 games with a minus 27.
The Rangers acquired the 62nd overall pick in 2015 by trading the 57th pick, acquired for Cam Talbot, to Washington for 62 and 113. Neither Kovacs (62) or Brad Morrison (113) are with the Rangers organization anymore.

The fact that miller is on the “3rd” line tells you a lot about what the coach thinks of him.
The fact that heetle is ahead of Hayes on the centre depth chart tells you all you need to know about Hayes and the rangers “depth” at centre.

The lineup shows that the coach sees the donut hole at center. Vesey on the 4th line makes zero sense, except that he wants Grabner and Fast (when he returns) playing more minutes than they should be playing. It won’t be long until Buchnevich finds himself on the 4th line. Can’t wait to see the reliable Staal-Holden pair out to kill off one goal games late in the 3rd period.

BTW my actual thoughts on the lines: Chemistry with every other line between at least 2/3 of the line. Vesey hasn’t found that yet. He’ll eventually wind up in the mix once they start but for right now AV prolly trying to start off with two lines from last season he knows should work

Alex – Thanks for posting the tribute to Dave Strader. Any game he was broadcasting was a must-watch on the Centre Ice package (along with Pat Foley of Chicago and, believe it or not, J.P. Dellacamera when he was in Atlanta). It is not fair that we will no longer get to enjoy Strader, but have to put up with even more Mike Milbury – talk about life not being fair.

The Rangers are not winning squat until they are deep enough that Grabner and Fast are 4th liners. They might be now………but the coach will not play them there anyway, and will have then in the top 9 before you know it. Not likely to win more than one round as a result.
