Carp, part of concussion recovery is physical activity. Once he passes baseline, they give him light physical activity to see how he reacts. If he doesn’t have a negative reaction, they increase the activity.
Who was their center? so now Nash is no good. Everyone saying how great he is; only first line player on O. So if Step had better wingers… he played most of the season with Kreider and Zucc. Who else is left for him to hold back, I mean, play with.
IMO, Vesey has been the biggest plus of this entire season. The kid chose to come here (and it wasn’t because of more money). He’s shown he has skill, he doesn’t back down, was 7th on the team for regular season goals, and is very young. We definitely hit the lotto with him!
The thing about stepan that bothers me the most and is his biggest “issue” imo (which translates into other not so stellar parts of his game which have been brought up here) is his compete level (I’m sure I’m going to get blasted for this but it’s how I see it).

A lot of talk about Pittsburgh and Washington when getting by Ottawa is still a tough task. Just because they had a monster game in Game 3 doesn’t mean they will again tonight. Ottawa’s game 3 was a lot like the Rangers’ game 3 against Montreal. It happens, but doesn’t mean that every game after is going to be that way. I think how the Rangers come out in the first 10 minutes will tell the story of tonight’s game.
Oh, and the Rangers will not expose Stepan. I wouldn’t mind them exposing Hayes though. Hayes is the type of player that will drive you crazy. He looks like he can be a superstar, but plays like journeyman.

SN, I think we are arguing the same thing. I’m saying Stepan was bad. You’re saying Stepan was bad. All I’m saying is that the wings he played with took a dip offensively as well compared to what he got last year. For instance, Zuke’s ES goals were way down across the board, not just with Stepan.

That’s what everyone was saying about Max Pac in round 1, Doodie.
On Stepan- earlier in his career he played with Gaborik on his wing, I think he even centered Gaborik AND Nash for parts of one season and he wasn’t any more than what he is now. a guy that gets you around 15-35-50. His best offensive season was actually the shortened year when he scored like 17 or 18 in 48. So I guess that’s worth 6 million per for the next 5 years because he’s not going to suddenly blossom into Ryan Getzlaf just because they have similar hair lines..
