Well folks, in fact, we do know. Tonight will be goaltender Jonathan Quick’s final NHL appearance, ending a career that started in 2007/08, finished in 2026 and included three Stanley Cup championships (including one against the NYR). Quick embodied everything a fan could ask for in a professional hockey player and his leadership will be missed. Thank you Jonathan!
Tarasov (11-15-3, 3.16 GAA, 0.892 SV%) is expected in net for Florida. Skaters should be the same as the last game for the Rangers except Vaakanainen is out (LBI) and Fortescue is in. Of note, by playing Vaakanainen the prior game, it assured that Fortescue would miss an $80,000 bonus for playing in ten games (this will be his eigth). Them the breaks!
The refs tonight are Liam Masskant (28 GP) and Garrett Rank (748 GP). Rank likes the home teams.

I wish I stayed after the game. We’re done nice Quick gestures, but I’ve got a paper to finish.
Rangers dominated for much of that game. They were definitely the better team. Unfortunately they have 18 passers and no finishers, and that’s why they lost.
That was the end of the in-person season for me.
It’s down to Calgary and the Ranger for 3 and 4 from the bottom. They will draft between 1 and 6.
