NY Rangers (28-34-9) vs Toronto Maple Leaves (30-29-13)
• 25 March 2026 19:30 EDT
• Scotia Bank Arena, Toronto
• TV: MSG, TVAS, SN •
Tonight the Rangers travel to Oh! Canada for the rubber match of their three game 25/26 NHL schedule. Toronto won 2-1 in October, the Rangers 6-2 just a few weeks ago. The Rangers have dropped five in a row and are 4-5-1 in their last ten. Toronto beat the Bruins last night but are only 3-5-2 in their last ten. Neither team is making the playoffs and the NYR will be officially eliminated if they lose in any fashion tonight. Right.
Shesterkin (22-15-6, 2.55 GAA, 0.912 SV%) is in net tonight with Garand still as backup, though Quick seems to be getting better as is Laba who was at praccy in a red non-contact jersey. Woll (14-13-6, 3.17 GAA, 0.905 SV%) will probably get the nod for Toronto. There are some lineup changes for the Rangers tonight. Skykora was called up from Hartford (Mackey returned postage due) and while Fortescue is signed and with the team, he is not expected to play tonight, though he did practice. Iorio will play back in on the third pair right side with Robertson on his left. This pushes Schneider to his left, paired with Borgen on the right. Skykora will jump in on the right wing of the Trocheck line. Edström may be a game time decision as Brodzinski was playing center on the fourth line at praccy with Raddysh on his left 🤷♂️
The refs today are in hiding at time of writing. As long as it is not Wes we’re OK!
On this date in history: In 2021, Mika Zibanejad became only the third player in NHL history to score six points against the same team over the course of one regular season and in this case, all in one game via a natural hat trick and three assists in an 8-1 over the Flyers. He also is the third player in NHL history with two natural hat tricks against the same opponent in one season

First!
Tank needs diesel!
Is this game ever starting?
Diesel is getting really expensive.
Perrault reminds me of Kucherov
And it’s getting more expensive by the day. They need to fill up now, before things reach crisis level.
Rangers hard to beleaf.
At least it wasn’t first minute
I’m not sold on Robertson
Shesty surrendered.
So, Leafs season-ticket holders also got The Letter from their president. Very nice!
Solid start for the tank.
No B.S.
Another mail it in effort
With postage due.
Seriously youse guys make more effort just to show up and call them out than they do twirling around on the ice
Did JT really think that was going to work?
I make jokes at funerals, too.
Put Shesty on the shelf and start looking for Quick’s replacement.
LaCoast actually being where he should be
Rangers got 26 shots. That’s almost 3 games worth.
After looking at the stats and watching the goals against, I have concluded that Shesty is playing Shisty.
Can the Rangers stage a come from behind victory to stave off playoff elimination
Is a bear catholic? Does the Pope crap in the woods?
I like Borgen’s commitment to the tank.
There are two Rangers there and a Leaf between them. AND HE PASSES!!!???
Zibanovechkin
Mika!
Another teaser goal?
How do we have so many inconsequential shots on goal?
Paradoxically, this is one of the best game Rangers are playing lately.
Certainly the best game today…
If Shesty had been his best self, it should be 2:1 Rangers, now…He was weak on 2.
…and another one on him as an illustration…
Yet another teaser goal.
I was about to ask. I hadn’t seen it yet. Maybe he feels bad that they can’t afford an expensive free agent because of him and so he’s making it up by trying to help them get a good prospect that’ll be on an entry level deal 🤷🏻♂️
Igor in on the tank tonight. 4 allowed on 18 tonight. Mika benefits from playing with Perrault.
orf
i think it’s the other way around with 93 and 94
Perreault become a great Аmmunition Bearer for Mika…
Laffy should drive the net there
Borg may need extra time regenerating
Wow.. someone felt the need to push LaCoast out of the way… will wonders never cease?
Good loss ..Shesty not his best
Rangers get 9 shots, lose by one. Rangers get 43 shots, lose by one.
Shesty not at his bestie? Tank you
Let’s Go Buffalo!
i’m rooting for teams near isles to keep getting points preferably 2
and when 2 of those teams play each other then root for 3 pt games
Good loss tonight. They had the better of the play but Igor was ordinary. They may have a first line. Perrault has work to do over the Summer, but looks like he belongs now. LAF may reach his point total that got him the contract. Big game against the Hawks. Regulation win is a big no no.
Shouldn’t be a problem. They’ll be at home.
Last game, the Rangers were only in it because of Shesterkin.
This game, the Rangers were never in it because of Shesterkin.

Ai hallucinating? Nhl.com has 16 times a player has scored 8 or more points in a single regular season game 🤣
Wwpd , against the same team in th same season?
Perfect loss
Team played well enough to feel good about their game whilst maintaining the tank for Drury and the fans
Am I hallucinating? Or just gone illiterate. How can you score against more than one team in a single game? 🫠
Azzdancers missing the playoffs as of today, even with the golden boy; it takes a full roster…
Soucy -9 in 20 GP w NYI and was +4 in 46 GP w NYR?!?
Dear Corporal. Agree 100% Tam did not look bad, goalie sucked. Keep playing like this on the road and with our terrible record at home we may get a draft pick. Just hope GM does not screw it up.
Perrault is looking better and better every game. Going to be fun watching him become a pretty good NHL player.
Just an aside for any of the old guys here if you want to laugh out loud at a you tube video about “Old Guy stuff”.
Check out Vic Dibitetto’s video on you tube about “Getting Old”. It is hilarious.
