Do you know the way to San José?
I’ve been away so long
I may go wrong and lose my way
Do you know the way to San José?
I’m going back to find
Some piece of net in San José
Or so these troubled NY Rangers hope. But it won’t come easy against the up and coming Sharknados led by teen superstar Macklin Celebrini (72 pts in 49 GP). The Rangers come to this game 2-7-1 in their last 10 with the outdoor win over Florida soon to roll off. The Sharks enter 6-4-0, dropping their last to the white hot TBL but beating the Puddycats.
So minor line-up changes tonight for the Rangers. In net is Martin (1-1-0, 4.13 GAA, 0.848 SV%) – though the NHL.com website pretends he does not exist. Brodzinski is in the coaches chateau bow-wow thus Blidh plays in tonight in his spot. It is also expected that the splitting of the two kid defenders is over – Soucy will be back with Borgen on the second pair and Robertson on the left of Morrow on the third pair. Tend to think the ES minutes of the third pair will be reduced as a result.
San Jose is expected to start Nedeljkovic (9-8-2, 2.96 GAA, 0.896 SV%) who had a solid 1 GAA 35 SV effort against FLA two games back while Askarov struggled against TBL giving up 3 on 19 shots. Skinner and Iorio are scratches and the injured Sharks include: Kiefer Sherwood (undisclosed), Ty Dellandrea (lower body), Philipp Kurashev (upper body), Shakir Mukhamadullin (upper body).
The refs tonight are Garret Rank (719 GP) and Kyle Rehman (1130 GP). Beware Rank, he definitely is a homer.
Keys to a Ranger high draft pick: keep doing what you’ve been doing!

FIRST!
First….to watch another Delzaster
Damn you 4
I hate to say this but… the only reason to watch this game is to see if Celebrini gets a hatty.
4 ruined it for me. This is all I had
I wonder if they play Kool and the Gang in the locker room after he scores a hatty? Poor kid lol
So sorry, corky…however not as I’m sorry for our team…
I’m here for Celebrini. He’ll definitely pour salt into the wounds LaFail has inflicted upon us.
Celebrini has two hattys this season. You know when the first one happened.
Go Time?
Go where?
Boyle > NoDoze
There’s more oil in Boyle’s hair than in Prudhoe Bay.
Lgr bring the NOISE!!!
Oh joy.. I get the pleasure of NBCSCA…. Randy and Drew something or others on the call. Maybe this is Southpark
Rangers celebrate not giving up a goal in the first 18 seconds by giving the sharks a chance to get their power play going
0 for last 13… good sign
That’s one
What was our fearless leader JT doing there? Will he tell us post game that he has to be better?
Boo that’s not Celebrini
I’m gonna go do something else for a bit.
When’s the draft lottery again?
It’s hard to tell how good San Jose is. The Rangers stink against everybody.
Dont you just love it when Kenny daid the sharks have not scored a pp goal in 5 games. You just cant make this stuff up.
How many minutes since Martin’s last save?
I had some cellebrini & meatballs the other night. Delicious
I reckon it’s going to be a long night. It might be a good time to catch some Slow Horses episodes.
Say good night Gracie.
JBytes I thought every NYR game this season was an episode of slow horses
There are plenty of slow horses on the Ranger bench.
That’s two
Whelp. There he is
Celebrini.
Everything that Laffy isn’t.
Haha these bets I make against the Paingers are like taking candy from a LaFailure
jfc
LaCoast is Les déchets by comparison
Even my dog won’t watch the game. Went to bed upstairs.
I’m not watching. Looked at nhl.com saw the score and laughed …you cannot make this stuff up..
My dog is smart. I asked him who was coaching the Sabres.
He said ” Ruff”.
Here’s to a double digit to zero game.
I just saw a commercial for men’s diapers and the man looked suspiciously like me
This team is aging me fellas
Mika checking out his last shift. He can’t find himself.
Corky I saw that same commercial earlier and was like wtf TV will stop at nothing these days.. old dude modeling it and all yikes
Just saw the score. Holy crap. They keep reinforcing my choice to not watch games much anymore
I want to see Reaves beat up a Ranger.
Celebrini even beats Tro on the face off
I want to see Goodrow beat up Dreary and then kiss him and say thank you for waiving me
Otter with 28 seconds of ice time
Sharks are just sooo much faster. And notice most of their passes are on the tape and successful
Sam I am upping his trade value. Is he worth a 3rd?
So glad I didn’t go. I want them to lose but hope Laba, purr-oh, and Otter play well
ORF come deadline maybe even a 2nd (which would probably be a low 2nd rounder)
Is it just me or does Schneidef play like he wants to be traded.
St. Louis blew a late lead. They could have caught the Rangers tonight.
Yes,I said blew.
If Celebrini was a Ranger, would he still be Celebrini?
Martin flashing the glove
I haven’t heard Cuylle’s name mentioned once.
Add a GP and 2G for Celebrini
Wicks, I’m only 26!
the sharks are 30th in NHL at shots per game
Sorry beez, don’t know how my brain farted to wicks
Is ok, I was snoozing a little
Keep taking those penalties. They build character.
Sharknado PR dept just rubbing it in …
NHL.com: Macklin Celebrini became the second-youngest active player to reach 50 career goals with his first goal in tonight’s game! 🦈
Who is he behind? Sidney Crosby.
Wow.. when do we get free colony pizza?
Good to see these idiot heads weren’t ready to start the game as per usual. What collective pile of garbage this team is.
Yikes.. Sharks intermission talking about needing to put the Rangers to sleep
Flames lost
Tank race getting interesting
Bad teams lose a lot. It hard for them to move up in the standings. I was hoping for them to get Bettman points, but only the Hawks came through.
The Rangers have three vegtables in the organization. Raddysh, Carrick and Drury.
Wow.. 9yrs ago Martin was in net for Avs and gave up four / natural hatty to Marleau
JT Miller is minus 18 on the season. What a dumbass trade by Dreary
Sharks don’t seem to have interest in this guy at the point thing
Time for Letter 3.0
Time for the ENG.
https://www.tankathon.com/nhl
2 minute warning.
Glad Sully had his team ready to play again.
Punt
Just pull the flush handle…
McKenna with a hattie for Penn State tonight.
Isn’t it time for the Rangers to
Play “Trade the Captain” again?
Don’t worry, they’ll beat the NYI at the end of the season to make sure they don’t get the #1
No empty net goals against. Not bad for a team that lost three minutes and eight seconds in.
ORF, he’ll never get a hattie for this team, whether he’s on it or not.
Wolfpack beat Bridgeport tonight. Two bad teams. They really need to give Garand some games. He can’t be worse than Martin.
Ranger due for #1 pick so……
McKenna = LaFraniere
Well time to take doggo out. A refreshing -5 should wake him rtfu
McKenna is the elite paasing LW we’ve been waiting for!
I cash it in after the 2nd. I guess I didn’t miss anything. Time for Drury to start moving pawns. The sooner the better. I’m going to miss the Sidewinder. Panarin is a special talent he was fun to watch half the time.
I’m not sold on McKenna
CC,
Not being a wise guy here, just a question. Would you be more sold on McKenna if had stayed in junior, and put up 200 points. Feels like he’s being punished for challenging himself against bigger, better competition.
NEW POST SAME NEWS
Eichel and Celebrini went to the NCAA and won the Hobey Baker. I don’t see McKenna doing that. There were also clearly team leaders. He seems more like Hagens. A solid player, but not head and shoulders above the other guys. The Bruins look to have gotten two good picks in Hagens and LeTourneau. Letourneau is 6′-7″. How did Drury miss him? Oh, that’s right. they gave away their #1 for JTM.
BTW McKenna may have done it for the NIL money as well as the competition. Let’s see how he does in the second half of the season as he acclimates and how he does in the tournament at the end of the season. The Swedish winger and the D at North Dakota are the next two highly rated picks.
