Astute readers know already that the Rangers are…500, 4-4-2, most recent the lossed to BUF and OT/L to UTA.
Quick (3-7-2, 2.39 GAA, 0.911 SV%) will go again today against Swayman (16-11-2, 2.91 GAA, 0.902 SV%). Based on praccy yesterday, it sounds like Laba will be back in as 3C, good news for the NYR for sure. Sullivan is also splitting up the 2nd and 3rd pairs in an effort to match youth with a veteran mentor. At least for a game or two. Recent updates on Edstrom (in a new boot w/ crutches) and Sheary (using crutches). Boston lists Lindholm (undisclosed) and Harris (ankle) as injured. The Rangers also returned Dowling to Harford this morning.
The boys this afternoon are Graham Skilliter (852 GP) and Furman South (451 GP). Both seem to be very by the book if they aren’t looking away.

I would not be the least bit surprised if Laba, Cuylle, Perrault and two first round picks are traded before the deadline for Sherwood and/or Tuch as rentals. That’s the Drury way. Assets given away for nothing, so they can also get older and slower.
Coolio has gone from don’t move to bears watching, was waiting to see the next level this season and fairly meh. Likes to hit and forecheck, all good but hands and vision is below par and also never throws hands.

In 24/25 NYR were 15-14-3 107 GF 103 GA in 32 games. Not sure if Miller played in all, too much trouble to dig that far. They also had Borgen and from March, Soucy.

One thing I notice happen far too often with NYR teams of the last couple of years is they end up with three or four men in the same area. Below the goal line, along the boards, whatever. Puck comes out and they have nobody to get it or just stop the other guy.

Long time lurker here. Just had to post about my absolute disgust with this collection of “alleged” professional hockey players. Chaos on ice with not a bit of pride showing. Turned the game off five mins into the 2nd.
Worst thing is my daughter gave me a Christmas present of four tickets to Wednesday’s game. I’m seriously considering telling her to sell the tix so she can get her money back. I can’t imagine being at a game now. If we do go, I’m not buying anything at the game. Not another dime for Dolan.
