The Rangers lost, 2-1, to the Predators in Nashville last night. Apparently, Panarin gave them all flu and two of the kids, Rempe and Perreault, did not play. Not sure that excuses the very lame effort which wasted another stellar effort by Quick in goal, who only gave up one (the other was an ENG). Brodzinski scored the NYR goal with just under a minute left in regulation immediately after the Nashville ENG. OT was not in the cards. This game probably ranks in the top five of worst efforts this season. And just in case any one is confused – the Predators played the night before so this was a back to back for them too.

Has Drury evaluated the scouting organization? He’s made changes, but for what purpose? He doesn’t feel obliged to explain why he does things so we remain in the dark. Only empty seats and crashed ratings with get Jimmy’s attention.

Drury overhauled the scouting/drafting team 2 and half years..he’s drafted more size and North Americans since taking over …all draft picks make NHL and the majority take several years. Is Drury subject to a different schedule or at fault for picks that Gorton or Sather?
Montoya (’04 R1 6th) after Blackburn (’01 R1 10th) was an egregious pick highlighting that Sather was beyond clueless in building a hockey club taking a goalie so high again after whiffing on Blackburn.

This is all I am going to inject into the convo. The organization is presently in shambles. Who is to blame? The 🦔? Drury? Or Bobbyo for being so overly optimistic? I still hold Drury responsible. He has been given every opportunity to build a chalice raiser and has destroyed what’s left of the forseeable future. But I suppose, “It could be worse it could be raining.”

Not sure the Nashville game is the most accurate yardstick by which to judge this team. I suspect Rempe and Perrault were merely the most sick, that there was likely more subpar-health running through the available 11:7 roster we saw. Not a lot of oomph out there from other than Panarin.
The picks that worked out were all middle to first round picks. Every top ren pick since 1999 has been a whiff. Some of them quite spectacular. Leave out LAF and Kakko whom everyone would have picked. If they just took the consensus next guy up when they have a top ten pick they wouldn’t stink like they do now.
