2025 Stanley Cup Finals Begin
A rematch! Ali v. Frazier! Da thrilla in…never mind 😉 The Oilers dispatched the Stars without too much difficulty other than the five minute breakdown in game one. Likewise, Florida had a pretty easy go with the Hurricanes. Of those two losers, tend to think Dallas the tougher out and Edmonton looks like they just might have figured out the defensive side of the game. Florida will beg to differ and do their best to repeat as SC champs.

With due respect to Minx and EV … Florida=🤮
The Rangers would be better off trading KAM for a top prospect or young top player(center or left Dman) as opposed to draft picks that they will screw up anyway. They are better off getting a prospect from a team that actually knows how to draft players.
It’s a little Joe Reekie in there
Very discouraging that Isles have a brighter future than Rangers with Eiserman, Ritchie and Schaefer coming in the next year or so. Rangers have little to look forward to from their draft picks.
Not a good road period
mkh- It;s because the Rangers can’t draft. Can’t develop what they do draft and trade away what little they DO develop.
Olga – For sure. It’s been that way for many years.
It’s really a disgrace what the referees allow the Panthers to get away with, game in and game out. Two sets of rules.
Dallas first game all over. Going to be a dozen penalties or more
The hockey hof commercial is great
Beezle
No offense taken.
Woot
Uncalled slash
Penalty before Reinhardt goal ..ignored
Horrible turnover
Stupid pass attempt.
So when the Panthers are unable to commit interference, the Refs are now committing interference for them. Led directly to Reinharts goal and then another great chance.
This one’s done folks
4-1, game over. Edmonton should now resort to Panthers hockey playbook, take no prisoners. Check to hurt instead of checking to separate a guys from the puck.
I don’t see this series going 7 games again. Florida’s physical play is going to wear them down.
Y’all see McDavid on his ass?
Still going 7
If you are gonna punch someone make it Bennett or Marchand
Want to see Kane rag doll that punk Tkachuk
You guys are funny.
Beezle, he’s going to have trouble doing that from the penalty box.
Oilers don’t know how to draw a penalty, just how to take one.
Won’t be long before they play 3 on 3.
Does TNT think Bennet and Tkatcjuk are Lady Byng candidates ?
Beat them like a rented mule.
Two Mules for Sister Leon
The two K’s (Kam & Kreider) need to be traded for some good draft picks. Just has to be done.
When do you suppose those “ good draft picks”, will be ready to help the Rangers?
Agree with Carey – unless you are getting the first overall this or next season, you have to get players back and if you can extort a pick too great (say a 2nd for 2026 or 27)
Coos Bettman has a message for you – 1:20 mark
Bettman is full of crap
Can’t Trade Miller unless a top pair D is coming back…unless he waits until July. If he can sign Gavrikov then he has more options moving Miller
If Miller is being moved it is because he is not a top pair defenseman, ergo you are not getting one back, by whatever definition you want to use for “top pair defender”.
The Rangers were negotiating with Miller during the last few weeks of the season. His ask is more than the Rangers can stomach, so they have pivoted to trading him, knowing they can’t sign him. If they can’t get the trade they are looking for, they are perfectly happy to let him get an offer sheet, knowing what the number is going to be, and not match. The probable first, and 3rd can be used as assets to do other things.
But he’s a top 4 defenseman at a minimum
and he plays 20 plus minutes per game
And someone will think he has potential to be better
Miller Lite is hopefully somebody else’s problem. Yes, he can skate straight ahead and make plays in open ice; that is 5% or less of what he is being asked to do. Just doesn’t not have the mental make up to play smart in all 3 zones; a borderline 3rd line winger who can’t play up so he plays back.
Good riddance.
So very true.
TGO wants to EXPAND playoff teams. Uh… sorry.
Buttman is a major tool and these bozos kiss his scrawny azz.
Bobby O delusional. Check-in with experienced Opthamologist.
So he’s not a top 4 dman playing 20 plus minutes a game?
Tro was supposed to be the 3C. He’s played 21:06 a game and became the 1C. Would that be the case on a contending team? Probably not.
For me, KAM is in that nebulous between 3rd and 2nd pair. Better than a 3rd pair but leaving me wanting more as a 2nd pair. I do not think he’s a legit 1st pair. If someone can ever get him to stop doing the same stupid things in his own end then he could be a decent 2nd.
KaM’s vaunted ‘speed’ becomes apparent when directed from behind at skaters who have already passed him.
Not many options fellas they may have to hope Sully and Quinn can fix him

Buttman unconsciously but effectively disses tax-light and tax-free States. Over-rated tool.
Speaking of tools Buttman is a dull hacksaw.
Kreids on way to Ana for minor leaguer, full salary going in deal supposedly
SN – If you are right, it sounds like Drury has once again sold low on a player. Rangers should have traded Kreider after his 50 goal season. It’s good that they are saving his salary cap hit, but they really should be trading with teams like Anaheim, San Jose, Utah for some of their top prospects, since those teams have deep prospect pools. Rangers should be doing that with KAM as well. Target other teams top prospects, not draft picks. Rangers scouts and management can’t be trusted to draft well.
If Drury makes this team worse before the start of the season, I might have to become a full st. Louis fan until they get rid of him in 10 years.
I’m gonna cry 🙁
Fool St. Louis fan.
I guess Kreider wants to be close to Troobah and his wife.
I mean, completely wiping out $6.5 million dollars salary is not too bad. Right? That would be third huge contract off the books completely without any retention.
Goodrow, Troobah’s wife, Kreider.
Creating another exit destination for Disco Mika 🕺 🦆
Ibiza would fit
Druski moron!
Kreider is most tradable asset (limited NTC) given what’s left on deal and performance over past 3 seasons; good leader for young team as well; very few vets commit to intense workouts as Kreids during off season.
In reality, need to move 4; Miller, Mika, Kreider and Bread to change the culture and create space for signings (-$30M).
UFAs
Bennett, Rantanen, Gavrikov (LD-LAK)
SN
Rantanen is not a Ufa. He signed 8 yr. 96 mil. with the Stars.
However I do agree with you moving those 4.
If The DJ curled up into a ball last season when Trouba and Goodrow moved what will happens this season with no hugs ?
Has Drury had bad drafts since taking over as GM?

Kreider 35 goals with ANA. “Prospect” stuck in AHA forever along with draft pick.
Bobby – tell me how many of these guys drafted since 2021 are helping the team now? About the only one who helped so far was Mancini by being traded.
https://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/draft/teams/dr00007089.html
Hes had 4 drafts and draft picks generally don’t play in nhl for several years … too early to say his drafts are bad or that Othman Bersrd Perrault Emery Laba, Sykora Fortsecue won’t contribute
This is the rumored return? Carey Terrance a former 2nd round pick prospect
Eli – tru dat
No shock, Team USA product
https://www.nhl.com/ducks/news/ducks-sign-terrance-to-three-year-entry-level-contract
Another LW, but Ehlers is the 2way player they need.
Terrance is listed as 6’1″ 187 at 20 years. Hope he can bump that up to 200-210.
Also:
Favorite Movie: Fast & Furious
Favorite Food: Oysters
Favorite NHL Team: Ottawa Senators
I read that Terrance is a C, but I don’t know him. Drury is good at creating cap space, but then seems to immediately use it questionably.
At least he’s a center..not sure why Ducks want Kreider unless plan is to flip him at deadline
The Ducks want Kreider because they plan on being in the playoffs next season. Their rebuild is done. They just hired Quennville, and have a use for a guy who’s going to score 35 plus goals for them.
Will have to see how the vaunted Trouba and Kreider leadership works with the Ducklings
The bigger question is, who are you going to spend your time hating?
Zibanajad
Master Sheng CCCP asks the disciples:
What is the feel of one arm hugging?
Kreider for Vatrano straight up :::ducks::::
Since 2021 drurys has drafted 16th, 63rd, 23rd, and 30th as his highest picks in each year. Not expectating deeply inpactful roster players at this point. Sure there are a few guys making nhl impact drafted behind Othmann but only a few, so far the sweet spot in 2021 looks to have been 12th/13th pick and better.
Not saying in a few years we won’t be able to look back and say he blew those drafts – and organizational history points to it likely being the case – but in the meanwhile there are bigger pizzas to fry.
What horrible grammar and spelling!
Terrence is rated the Ducks 10th or 12th best prospect? Nice.
Pavel Brendl!
LOL @ one arm hugging…. not in jail… or you’d be on fruitcake duty forever.
Do they have pools in Anaheim or just beaches?
Is Terrence the final Stamp on the deal?
I’m kinda sad thinking about Kreider leaving. I appreciate what he did for this franchise.
Ditto, 3CP
The 10-12 best prospect does not seem like much of a return, even with Ducks taking on full salary. If prospect is down that far on their depth chart, he is probably a questionable future NHL player. They are probably better off letting Kreider redeem himself in coming season and trade him at deadline. If his game regresses even more, you aren’t losing much. You get their 15-18 best prospect?? Big deal, just another prospect that won’t play for Rangers.
Brooksie mumbles and bumbles and stumbles through. Lucky he can type.
What does Drury think Kreider could’ve gotten done on the third line last season?
6.5 million is jack squat with the cap going up. Also, in Kreider’s entire career, he is currently at his lowest worth.
Drury seems to like getting players to their lowest worth before getting nothing for them. See: Trouba, Kakko, Kreider.
Or just plain getting nothing for a player even when he’s worth a lot. See: Buchnevich
I am firmly in the happy to see Kreider go camp. I believe Kreider and Zbad orchestrated the ‘We Quit in New York” this past season. That is inexcusable in my eyes and he can’t be gone soon enough. maybe he had some injuries, but I still believe he Quit, so good riddance. we can only hope that Zbad waives his NMC to go join him. The core needs to go, with exception of fox unless you get a really good return for him.
EV – I do agree with you that Drury is selling low again. Maybe it’s better to wait until trade deadline. I don’t see Drury making this team a contender this season, so you can hang onto him for a little longer until his value hopefully goes up.
Also, before I forget, in an age of the better teams being fast teams, the Rangers just got even slower.
Can’t wait to watch my team in person, not only lose their first outdoor game, but get demolished by the possible two-time reigning Stanley Cup champs in January. 🤦🏼♂️
If Drury is asking Kreider to waive his M-NTC, why tf is he not doing the same regarding our new, overpaid first line right winger?
Because Drury is_______fill in the blank.
How do you know he hasn’t asked Zibanejad? Or maybe his first move was to trade Kreider, then approach Zibanejad. Who he should ask to waive is Panarin. If Drury truly wants to change the makeup of the team.
This Kreider ( or anyone else) quitting on the team narrative is complete nonsense. Were they upset about Trouba, and Goodrow?, obviously, but the did not quit. In Kreider’s case, you can argue that his issue was more about playing injured, when he shouldn’t have been playing at all. Selfishly believing 50% of Kreider was better than other options. Trouba, and Kreider are perfect examples as to why players should not play hurt. They end up looking bad because they cannot play to their typical level. The pro athlete mentality has always been, if I can lace em up, I’m going to try and play. It’s why they made it as far as they did.
It was all just bad luck that the whole team has a bad season outside of Cullye and Bread
Like Boyler and his pushback on Brooksie during
Podcasts but why is Molly on these? She drags them down
Trade done. Kreider to Anaheim.
Changing the culture by selling low on the guy who single handedly carried the team into the conf final on 5/16/2024.
Can we get a new post when deal finalized?
Kreider used to run around and throw his body around with reckless abandon in the first half of his career and frequently was in the sin bin as a result and often out of position defensively. Post life-threatening injury scare and subsequently surgery, he came back a different player; in fact, even was put on pk which was unthinkable early in his career.
Probably too smart for being just a knuckle dragging hockey player willing to compromise his life after hockey by fighting and had his share of stretches where performance waned. Familiarity breeds contempt and many naysayers proved their lack of hockey smarts be dissing #20’s effort.
You have all watched the best playoff forward in NYR history since 2000 and nobody will touch his playoff goal scoring totals in our lifetimes unfortunately. His legacy will only be emboldened over time and to (finally!) have a draft choice exceed expectations is reason alone to celebrate his Ranger career. History will be kind to #20.
NYR’s Capt Clutch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JA7PReeEl6Q
Beezle,
There is no bigger Kreider fan than me. I’m sad it has come to this, but it had to be done. The return is not done yet. We still need to see what they do with the cap space.
Two things can exist at the same time:
1) I absolutely hate this. It’s like breaking up with someone (considering I’m a straight male who has no personal connection with CK20, not really…).
2) It’s for the best
Kreider would not have been my first choice to trade. That would be Panarin. They need to make room for Cuylle, Lafrenière, and others to grow. I will say this, I’m not comfortable at all that this is now JT Miller, and Trocheck’s team. I do not trust Trochek at all.
Good luck to Kreiids…but changes are needed ..more coming
DJ Perimeterejad should be next… but he won’t be. I’ll take a consolation prize of K’OutofPosition.
‘Reckless Abandon?’ Kreider?
Terrance, and a 3rd, for Kreider and a 4th.
Terrance
56 29 23 52 25
One of the OHL’s most underrated players,
Terrance had a good year for the Erie Otters even if
he failed to hit the point per game mark. Because
of his speed and strong two-way commitment
level, he brings such versatility to his coaches.
Offensively, his best asset is his shot, something
that helped him score 29 goals and lead Erie in
goal scoring this year. Terrance also was a member of the U.S.’ gold
medal winning WJC squad, but he did not see game action. Moving
forward, the key for Terrance is finding consistency offensively. If he
can find a way to truly unlock his speed and improve his puck skill
and carrying ability, Terrance could end up improving his outlook and
upside as a pro. If not, he could still end up a very valuable bottom six
player and penalty killer ala Paul Byron.
I’m broken again.
I was never a big Kreider fan. I felt that he had the size, strength and speed to be a true power forward that could have been a HOF player, but took way too many shifts and games off. He put up big numbers for 3 of the last 4 years using his ability to deflect pucks, but he rarely drove play.
This trade is also another example of Drury selling low, even with the Ducks taking on the full salary. They should have pressed for a better prospect instead of the third round pick.
Most GM’s know the Ranger organization is clueless at negotiating.
MW adds:
I guess ANA must have really, really wanted their 4th rounder back
