The NYR lost, in mostly embarrassing fashion per the game thread, 7-3, to the Carolina Hurricanes yesterday afternoon in a nationally televised game. The loss ensures that the Rangers will be golfing instead of skating next weekend.
The official scoring summary is below:

The Rangers close out the season against two playoff bound teams, at Florida on Monday at 19:00 EDT and at MSG against the TBL on Thursday at 19:00 EDT. Broadcast on the usual networks.

I see Drury and Lavioless still have jobs. So I can still complain. Not that I could ever actually be speechless. 🤣
Meet the new boss,
Same as the old boss
Rather that they wait until Friday to can Lavi. More professional, there is nothing to be gained by doing it today. Don’t really want to see any more call ups either, two games won’t move the dial, injury risk and frankly don’t want them in this locker room until sh*t is straightened out.
I just hope this season was enough of a hairball for Dolan to notice.
Beezle
Zibanejad will not be golfing. We all know where to find him. 💿🎧🎤🪇
I heard Mika is about to drop a new rmx to “I did it my way” Extended Golf edition. Gonna be hot!
Think we know which side these NYR chose

I am sure it’s a hole in one.
1. THE spent most of the night on bench staring at his toes. Physically hurt? Embarrassed? Angry at the boss(es)? Useless Hockey Press just keeps us guessing.
2. Messier blah blah blah. Will not address Management/Coaching though asked repeatedly. I think, too, that League/Network ‘suggested’ Slewfoot and Mess be more positive.
3. Laughable that some think Kam should be moved to forward. You don’t stink up the ice after years exclusively as a Dman and then suddenly ‘become’ an effective NHL wing at 25 +.
coos
I have a better idea, Miller should be moved.
I saw this elsewhere, from someone who was at the game, seated behind rangers bench, and also heard this from someone else. JT was constantly yelling at the assistant coaches, as was Kreider. Who apparently waived off Peca dismissively. As reported by reporter during the game, Laviolette barely spoke to them the entire game. It was a full blown rebellion.
Now that these dogs are officially out of it ..they can go scorched earth on management …we have taken out 3 coaches …let’s do a package deal with the GM
SN – The who’s return, after Moonie passed, at the garden September 16th 1979 was one of the best shows I’ve seen
Quadraphenia is in my top 3 albums – damn near perfection
Didn’t Peca play with Capt Clutch Dreary in Buffalo? Saboteur??
The Dutchman saying things are fugged to Good golly Miss Molly

“…MSG against the TBL on Thursday…”
Imagine if Rangers fans sat this one out to send a message to Dolan. Nope, that will never happen.
Who’s the Dutchman?
What’s said to Molly?
Leah Hextall reporting how silent lavi was as well was very telling

de Haan throwing truth bombs; franchise is poison
DeHaan is 100% correct. 79 for example doesn’t belong in the lineup at all and what is Soucy doing in the lineup? Total clown show. Sad.
Where are the de Haan truth bombs from?
So we aren’t re-signing DeHaan?

Hmmm
Need to cut the head off the snake 🐍
Top down issue
Now i hope they Keep De haan 😂 and get rid of the usual suspects of soft, slow, uninterested bunch. Blow it up por favor 💣
Thanks for the article, Corporal Clegg.
Wonder if some of the coaching decisions have been coming from Drury
Seems only fitting that Rangers weren’t eliminated by a Montreal win, but rather their own loss.
If Drury survives, I may have to finally walk away from this pathetic team and root for another team that will play with heart, will compete and may even win a Stanley Cup some day. Rangers have no future with Drury in charge.
Drury/Laviolette/Zibanejad, Kreider, K’Asshat ALL need to go. Drury’s garbage for team morale, Laviolette doesn’t go into the locker room after games…. Zibanejad should go play in the Swedish elite league where he can skate around like an ice capade, Kreider needs a change of scenery and K’asshat is not an NHL defenseman.
Other notable mentions are Fox- what the hell happened to this guy? And when the game tightens up, he checks out. Let’s not forget our 10A: Laffy- see Fox.
This team should have a much different look to it next year, but it won’t. Drury will keep his spot at GM and find another retread coach. We’re stuck with Zibanejad. Kreider will bring back a 2nd rounder and a low-end prospect. They’ll sign K’Asshat to a stupid deal that he hasn’t earned because they overvalue him, and…we get to watch the same garbage next year. This will happen until JD and the nut shots fire pizza boy.
Drury runs this organization like an adolescent with too much power.
The Saber Saboteurs; Housley and Peckerhead carrying out Dreary’s directives while Eddie Munster sprints out of MSG after games for a 10pm rez at Keans.

Great observation. The NY Sabres or the Buffalo Rangers. Take your pick.
There is bound to be a lot of discontent after a season like this one. They have 5 or 6 third pair Ds so some who don’t get TOI are bound to be disgruntled. Lavy and Drury are both bad communicators so they makes it worse. I hope they actually let Robertson play since they need to decide if the want to keep him. Drury should clear up the logjam over the Summer. They need a coach who let’s guys know where they stand. I assume Drury will be back so the new coach is the first thing to deal with. If it’s another retread we’re in for more of the same.
The last time the Rangers did the right thing 1994, they still haven’t recovered from it.
There is a go-time scheduled for 6:55 pm for any of you bdsm fans. I will be on the road back north this afternoon.
Great slice of Sicilian at Sal’s yesterday. Greenwich Ave … remind me not to go ever again. Even tried to get run over by some six figure cars but failed 🤣 Port Chester soon to have population as large as White Plains in 2 sq mi and yet my property tax bill keeps going up?
Kudos to deGrom, or deHaan, or whatever the hell his name is. After that public diatribe, he’s a goner for sure, but he did us a service.
10:07. – There’s a Rockefeller family mausoleum in Sleepy Hollow where one Rocky’s inscription reads: Born in Greenwich (and date) and Died in Greenwich (date). Story is he actually died in a restaurant in Port Chester but the fam couldn’t bear to put Port Chester on the monument.
is de Haan’s the guy Drury had to take back from Avs to make the # of contracts in the Lindgren/Vesey trade work?
Speaking of Port Chester – as a kid, I thought that enormous ring-shaped Life Saver on the lawn of that candy company was the bee’s knees.
If they are in NY, they are the Sabers, not the Sabres and they know it.
So far Kakko, Vesey, Jones, and deHaan have spoken out in some form. With Kakko being the biggest name, and paying the biggest price. I would like to see someone else speak out. Someone secure in their position in the organization. It will mean a lot more that way. I nominate Fox. If Fox spoke up, it would carry a lot of weight. There are always two sides to the story. We are currently only hearing one. The one being spoon fed to the media.
Robertson called up to make his NHL debut tonight in Sunrise, and get booed all game by EV 😉
Unless a player is having himself a banner year, he’s somewhat embarrassed and afraid to spout off. Human nature.
more from NYR dekwaan:
Going to get ahead of this now…
I was hoping that I would have been able to express in a scrum setting versus a quote as I was going onto the ice and having it on the Internet 30 seconds later. I said what I said because I am frustrated , and any competitor who says that they would be happy in this position would be lying to you. After playing 3 games for the team and going 2-0-1 , I thought I maybe would have got an opportunity to jump into the lineup and help win some games
Did I help win those games I played, maybe? Maybe not? But we still won and collected some crucial points to climb the standings. I understand the youth movement in the nhl, and I’m getting older in hockey years and I may not play every single night. I feel like I can still contribute and help teams win. I know I’m not going to play 20 minutes a night in the role I’ve been in the past few years , but again I feel like I can still keep up and help a team in certain facets of the game.
I’m not trying to be the villain or gain attention or throw shade on the organization , I would have preferred a scrum setting to chat about how my time with the rangers has gone. As a player you have to respect the lineup decisions whether you like them or not, it’s just been frustrating not being able to compete and do what I love to do. I hope everyone understands.
…and where’s Mothman?
Mostly hangs out around the goal light
This team sucks.
That’s all I got.
I’ve been trying for weeks to get in touch with someone who could get me to see Sam Rosen at the game tonight and the only person that replied was Carp and apparently he doesn’t have the same connections anymore.
I just got a call from the MSG production crew down here and I’m going to go meet him before the game starts. The Ranger organization isn’t as bad as I thought it was. Lol
good to hear EV
Another day and another player tears into the Rangers. In the 60 years I have been following this team I have never seen this amount of complaing out loud from the players.
Do they all hate the GM and feel this is the best wsy to exit NY. Must be terrible to play a game fot a living and be so unhappy.
Maybe they should work construction or traffic control agents on the streets of NYC all year long.
I keep coming here 2 or 3 times a day with the hope our GM is fired. Sad to say I think we are stuck with him. Oh well. LEts go Giants. They hopefully wont be this bad.
Same team that was in the ECF less than a year ago did not make the playoffs this year. Most won’t like this reason, but it shows how even the parity is in the NHL. I’m sure most of you will call it parody.
Pozy Pozy Pozy?

As the Beastie Boys said: ‘You got to fight for your right to parity.’
…or parody
DJ will be parody behind a sound board.
Dehaan was fine but they didn’t bench Denny Potvin
Considering he had a broadcast to start, Sam took a lot of time to chat. Way longer than I expected.
Saw some of the players in the hallway warming up too.
I’m behind the Rangers goal that they shoot twice at. Row 11 on the slight left of the goalie in my NYR winter classic jersey and an army green hat. No clue if we’re close enough to be on TV this year lol
Big surprise
