On March 16, 2025, the Edmonton Oilers took down the New York Rangers 3-1 at Madison Square Garden. The win was thanks to some big plays from a few key players. Corey Perry kicked things off with a power-play goal late in the first period, marking his 15th goal of the season.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins was a playmaking machine, assisting on all three of Edmonton’s goals. Goalie Stuart Skinner had a solid game too, making 21 saves, including some crucial stops in the third period to keep the lead.
For the Rangers, Will Cuylle managed to get their only goal early in the second period by pouncing on a loose puck in front of the net. Even though they outshot the Oilers in the second period, the Rangers had a tough time turning their chances into goals, especially on the power play, where they went 0-for-3. This loss revealed some ongoing problems for the Rangers, like their inconsistent offense and power-play struggles that have been popping up in recent games.

Nice job CCCP. Good to be first. Very simply need to win tonight. Would still start Shesterken. Need To go with our best.
Must control possession and check their asses off.
So Kaliyev is done for the season. Sorry for his injury but did not see enough to think he would stick around.
Is there any reason not to tell the fans the extent of his injury now that another player can”t target said injury.
It’s like Tracey Morgan yesterday at MSG. Is he dying or is it food poisoning.
This secrecy stuff is a lot of Crap.
Gamblers and odds-makers are and always have been on the whispered look-out for any specific sub rosa injury inside info.
Wish we had an incompetent goalie. Teams (and coaches) for their own survival seem to find reason to play or try to play hard-nosed in front of them.
One down, Laba signed.
Oh goody! We want the cup.
No reason for the Rangers to keep their rd 1 picks. Most of the time they can’t them right anyway.
Who poked CCCP?
Parssinen has already shown to me anyway that he is better than kaliev. And the fact that he is a center, I think he is definitely a keeper. Speed and size. Wins puck battles. Has more offensive upside that hopefully he can find.
