After horrible start to season, finally got out 2nd week in January and it has been nothing but snow since. Past week was exhausting trying to keep up with visiting 28yr old former college football/lacrosse player. Seemed like only a year or two ago it was him trying to keep up with me 😪

I watched most of the first game, then went outside to play with my girls in the snow and shovel. Pretty good game.

Sweden has the best chance because the US won’t be playing as hard. No reason to.

Do the tkachuks have a “don’t play so hard, it didn’t matter” mode? We know a few of their teammates do.
Clown show beginning with Tkasmucks grabbing guys that they are bigger than because why? At least Miller was tussling w a guy above his weight class albeit proving once again most USNTDP trained players can’t fight.

I think the Finns may actually beat Canada.
If USA tries to rope a dope Canada in the 3rd again they will get their azzez handed to them.
So Uncle Larry (BDL?) pushing Laffy/Zegras swap. True that I’m not Laffy’s biggest fan, Zegras has injury issues now and has show even less jam than Laf. Both are very talented but talent doesn’t always win games and talent alone will only carry you so far in the NHL.

JT Miller is not perfect but he gives a Fugg about wins and losses; and that is what separates the leaders from the followers
Interesting on both Mothman scores, Robertson and Berard are the assists (16/17, 13/14). A bit puzzling how Robertson does not even get 3rd star of the game.
He’s also improved in regards penalties, only one (fighting) in past 11 games.

I watched some of it over the weekend (obviously not that big of a deal over here as our international tournaments are us tussling with the likes of Japan, Georgia, Romania etc for the opportunity to be whipping boys at a big tournament from time to time)….did i ever mention our 1932 Olympic Gold Medal win?
Anyhoo – from what i’ve seen clearly Kakko is benefiting from the “change of scenery”, the belief in him and the extra 4-5 mins of ice time a night. Maybe Mika needs to wear some Tre-Kronor underwear or something under his Rangers jersey…..and the biggest takeaway from me, is that i’m pretty sure Drury is looking at that USA team and thinking how he can get a Tkachuk in Ranger Blue without having to drag 175 year old Keith out of retirement,
