The Rangers looked like whiz on the Flyers cheesesteaks – a disgusting, soft, fake plastic cheese that can only be stomached after many cheap beers. Yep, they lost again. Even Joe Micheletti was disgusted with them, as hard as that may be to believe.
The final score was 3-1 with an ENG but the game really was not that close. Philly dominated from the opening puck drop until the final buzzer. The Rangers supplied everything a bad game could want – poor defense, missed passes, turn overs, little offensive zone time, slow skating and a going through the motions mentality.
The Flyers scored first 03:14 of the first period with a goal by Brink (4) assisted by Foerster (3). A minute later, at 04:24, Konecny (12) would put the Flyers up 2-0, assisted by Couturier (8) and Ristolainen (6). 2-0 PHI after one.
At 10:20 of the second, Trocheck (5) would score his first goal in the age of a dog, once. Cuylle (10) and Schneider (6) got the assists. 2-1 PHI.
And so the game would go, the Rangers only saved from significant embarrassment by the play of Shesterkin in goal, until Konecny would get his second of the afternoon, an ENG at 19:32. 3-1 PHI.
Next game on Saturday afternoon at MSG against Les Habs, 1:00 PM EST start. The game will be broadcast on NHLN, TSN2, RDS and MSG.

Drury doesn’t get the benefit of the doubt on anything. He’s playing checkers at best. His memo seemed more like Go Fish!. Kreider is playing chess. He makes what sounds like a serious statement about the state of the team while providing enough details of his ailment to kill the trade market for him. Say what you want about him. The guy is not stupid. Maybe he could be a GM someday.

I would blow this crap up, been saying on here for a few years now team is to soft and now to slow. The problem I see is drury isn’t going to blow this up. Drury possibly will make some changes but it’s not going to fix the problem of this team winning a cup. Drury is going to go down with this team. I could see big changes in the off season.

I don’t disagree with that at all. The problem is Panarin can’t help himself. He insists on carrying the puck into the ozone down the left wing and gets squeezed off the puck, or makes a bad sidewinder pass more often than not. A big winger isn’t going to change that.

Bread keeps proving how tough he is in the playoffs when the going gets tough…He is immensly talented and willing to sword fight with his stick in the corners to get the puck but if he is your version of toughness in hockey , that explains a lot.
