Pack lost 3-2 in OT last night, in a very physical game. Jones and Cuylee had assists. Garand was very good, until he wasn’t. Let in a long range shot to get Hershey back in it. Pack was leading 2 zip going to the 3rd. Tying goal was scored when Jones got beat on the boards, and then shot when through a screen. OT winner came off a Cuylee neutral zone turnover. 2 on 1 was played poorly by Jones. He took no one.

Not really. Was having a pretty bad season. Started to play better, then got hurt. I think he was a healthy scratch a few times. That may have had to do with numbers. They carry a lot of D, but a prospect like Robertson should not be a healthy scratch unless he’s really playing poorly.

You saw the good and bad of jones last night. Made a really skillful play to enter the zone, then got the puck back and purposely put it of the goalies pad. Piaunemi ( not close on spelling) was crashing the net and cleaned up, on the first goal. But was also beat along the boards on the tying goal, and out muscled in front of the net on another play. Garand bailed him out with a fantastic save.

Rangers players complained and he was fired. Gallant stressed the same things. Players complained and Gallant was fired. What makes anyone think a new coach will make a difference with this soft as charmin crew? The problem is the players. Until you get rid of Panarin and some of the other high priced non-performers, they will go no further then round 1. Given the cap restraints I don’t see them being able to get past the Devils or Canes in the next 4-5 years.
