Shesterkin hasn’t given up less than 3 goals in a game in five games and he gave up 2 in that one.
The last time Shesterkin gave up less than 2 was January 12th against Dallas.
And, have I mentioned, 106 calendar days since he gave up none?
That was Fox and Lindgren with their heads up their butts on that one. I know you can’t get up for every game but this is a defensive no show. They were due for a letdown after the big win in Carolina. They need to get some focus for the rest of this one.

When you play loose as a goose you end up being a cooked one. Shesterken not having a good night in this touch hockey game. The Canucks are actually playing to win. Bring in Halak The Vancouver goalie should be giving up a lot more b4 the end.

Just woke up couldn’t stay awake for the 3rd. I obviously didn’t miss much. I’m not worried just yet, but they’re not going far in the 2nd season if this is the Shesty we’re getting. Maybe it’s just a bad stretch for the new papa, yes?
A lot of people antsy in the pantsy over Shesty last night. While I would agree it’s been a rough go let’s try to look at the big picture. He’s 4th in the NHL in wins among starting goalies.
And yes, Vancouver is a bad team this year BUT it is not from a lack of goal scoring. They’re actually ranked among the top teams in the league in goal scoring and have scored more goals this year than the Rangers, Canes, Devils etc. So they lose a lot but it isn’t because they can’t put the puck in the net.
So yeah, that’s why the smart thing to do before the deadline would be to improve the defesnive ability of the forward group on this team. They’ll have to be better than they were last year and that’s sure as hell not going to happen because of the Tarasenko addition.
