Sammy showed a ton of promise prior to the Slewfoot by Sleezeban.
He brought energy, physicality, and some high end skill. He was hitting it off with Lafreniere.
Sleezeban changed all that.
Looking at the TOI of the forwards you can see that Gallant believes they need two more. Someone to play with K and T, and someone to play with V and G. Maybe even 3 forwards. A 13th forward. My guess is the 13th forward will be Carpenter come playoff time.
