Bread Vermont laffo was the best, most consistent line they’ve had all season so far.
They screw up putting one of the better all around wingers at centre.
They’ll eventually sort it out though.

Folks think the kid line is what the rangers want but in reality it’s the catch all line until they realize they have no current choice and laffo busto is the best fit there.

Getting painful to watch. What was going in the opponents’ nets last year isn’t going in this season so far. They’re now starting to hesitate for a second longer. But, most importantly, they lost their structure. A lot of scrambling on defense. I don’t think it’s a personnel. Trouba was their best player last night.
Maybe it’s time to give Chytil a try on the first PP unit. Bumper position? He’s shooting without hesitation, and perhaps it’s time to give teams a different look with another lefty.
Miller isn’t progressing the way they hoped so far. His pinch last night was useless because there was no one in Nashville’s zone to support him. That led to the first goal. Schneider, on the other hand, is improving after his slow start. The kid knows to concentrate on defense before joining the rush.
Hajek is ok, and I think he’s better than Jones. I’d leave him in until they get a veteran replacement.
Move Miller to forward he’d be better than VC or the Goat on the 11 million dollar man’s line. He is no D man. Bring up Harpur whatever his name is. I

It is Sunday so why not poke the hornets nest? There is no reason to have Reaves on this team anymore. 7:26 TOI last night. He’s not a deterrent to anything happening on ice and adds little to the rest of the game (if not the opposite).
Find someone a little more than half his age who plays with an edge, isn’t afraid to drop the gloves if called for and isn’t a boat anchor for the 4th line. Price tag 750K-1M, net savings 450-700K on the cap this season.
That roster spot is not by any means the team’s biggest issue. None the less, it is an issue that should be addressed by Drury sooner than later.

Don’t kid yourselves. Miller has a lot of trade value. His highlight reel goals don’t hurt, but his performance in last year’s playoffs and his relatively low cap hit are the big sellers. He’s going to be due a raise on July 1st. You could trade him, but there had better be a cost controlled, left handed, steady defenseman to play with Trouba coming back as part of that or another deal. Top 4 defensemen aren’t easy to come by, but I’d trade Miller if they could find a better fit. Miller hasn’t been perfect, but he’s come a long way from where he was 2 years ago and the first half of last season.
If they could find a steady defensive defenseman to play with Schneider,(3rd pair), you could move that guy up late in games to play with Trouba when you’re protecting a lead. Miller would then move down to play sheltered minutes with Schneider.
Get it over with. He is beaten nightly in a myriad of different ways – wide, sraight-on, wall, in front, left behind. I have yet to see him between his opponent and our goalie. And I have too often seen him physically moved from netfront instead of the other way around. Latent offensive talent, period.

Poke the bear about reaves?! Not a single person here probably cares if reaves is on the roster or not.
Trading miller?! Duh, with few exceptions most of us here have suggested that at some point over the past season…especially with him being due a new deal.
None of this is new or earth shattering stuff to many here, the one problem is the organization’s take may be different than what is posted or mused about here.
If they wanted to part with reaves, they most likely would have done it in the summer when they could have used his cap space to address other needs.
Most would have traded miller already, it seems pretty clear at this point the team doesn’t want to.
There’s what we all think and the reality of what the team thinks.
It sure seems like this constant juggling of lines and the majority of them causing unbalanced lineups for the forward group (injuries aside) that they still aren’t sure of what they have and what certain players can or can’t do.
They need to figure it out soon and get rid of a forwards if they intend to make moves closer to the deadline because of cap space accrual. Not to mention a lot of the line combos they are using enhance the already problematic lack of cap control by forwards and “team” defence.
I really do think they are trying to do everything they can to keep laffo in his natural position on the left but unfortunately for them he’s their best right wing.
Of all the younger forwards, he needs to be in the top 6 the most.

Ilb 2001 & the Wick spot on with they temporarily lost their defensive STRUTURE. Wicker continues burning the candle on both ends with really good stuff. I pretty much agree with all your comments even Kravtsov who needs a rattle and a large crib. Totally fed up with his crap. Gees give a break. Don’t spend much on this site but you guys give far more substance than Mollie. Our dilemma is we’re basically a east-west team that has to morph with more of a north-south structure

I’ve been a big proponent of drury since he took over, but I really think he’s done a subpar job this past offseason and so far this year.
He’s left himself too many player question marks on the roster with no cap flexibility to easily rectify the issues.
Wick Agree about Drury. The 3 players on rental that were not resigned were not entirely replaced and we’re now paying the price. Not a big fan of Gallant. Many of the players need a good kick in the ass. He’s far too soft. You know what’s freeken amazing I can almost tell after after the first 5 minutes whether we have a chance. The whole league has us figured out . Stop our 1st or 2nd pass out & cause a turnover. Kam in particular &,also Panaran leave enough turnovers to supply a bakery.

With a couple of exceptions, I think most here want the rangers to win. I also think there are varying degrees of seriousness and perspective between those folks and how important to their actual life the results of the rangers or any sports team is.
My guess is that gives us the varying degrees of negativity and duress here by the different posters based on the rangers results.
