Guess who’s back in NY? That’s right, Torts. I really liked the guy. No nonsense, tough, very demanding. I believe players who played for him really liked him. Trouble is, they only liked him for relatively short period of time. His shelf life is fairly predictable. Something tells me it will be a year shorter than usual in Philadelphia.

Before I shut up, I have to admit that as much as I hated Flyers of the past, I strangely can’t help myself but kind of sympathized Torts (and D’Anger a little bit) who got such a depleted team to great start. But certainly, will get back to sacred hate, once game starts.
It’s my wife’s 26th birthday today so needless to say I will be missing the game tonight. Still very low expectations, not trying be negative it just comes naturally for me as a Ranger fan. Prove me wrong boys.

Watched the 2nd, 3rd and OT on my phone at my son’s practice. Nice win! Kreider got called out by Brooks. Came up big. Loved the line that’s it’s ok to be a streaky scorer. Not ok to be a streaky hockey player.
The effort, the forecheck, needs to be there every night. Can’t just be the guy who stands in front of the net, screening the goalie and tipping pucks in.

2. Why is Halak garbage? They’ve been garbage in his three starts, the team scored 2 goals in his 3 starts and played piss poor defense. He was the only reason the Islanders didn’t run away with that last game until late.
