Kadri might enjoy playing in Toronto’s division. If he went to Boston, they’d be in the conversation of who could win it all. Sounds like they’d have to clear significant amount of money to make him fit, but Lou needs to do some trimming too if he’s going to the Islanders.
Kadri could also do what Hall did and sign for one year with a bad team and then be traded at the deadline with that team eating half of the cap hit.

Hey boneheads to get a better slant on Orthmann you need to read Mollie Walkers 8-4 column in the NY post. He cannot be assigned to a AHL team because he wouldn’d turn 20 until 1-15. He can only be assigned back to the OHL or NHL roster. Regarding you guys and they’re a few that have this mental erection for Kratsou; give the guy a freeken break. He g does deserve a chance b4 some of the other prospects because he’s already played with the Rangers and one of Russia’s top teams. He’s a world class player with world class talent. He doesn’t, however, have world class behavior. He’s been through the mill with Dairy Queen, his first agent and some of the promises he was given years ago. I believe massive behavior modification will play an important role in his future growth. Man. he’s got all the tools. Kind of like the Vesey reacquaintance. but just wandering why the Devils didn’t want to keep him. Could be another clever move by Drury

In all seriousness, I think it was reported and someone here (sorry I don’t remember who it was) posted it that kadri said he had a team and they were supposedly waiting to announce the deal once they had cleared space…
To bring this to this convo, if kadri is asking $9 mil per (and even if he doesn’t get that much) you’d think he’s going to a team with a decent chance at winning so they’re going to have to move some folks whichever team it is….right?
Krejci is back as well. One year, $1M salary plus $2M performance bonus. Probably similar to Bergeron, something that’s ridiculously easy to attain. That, along with $2.5M Bergeron bonus, is $4.5M they don’t have to count into their cap this year. It will, however, count into their next year’s cap

So the Bruins are doing one more kick of the can. They have to stay in contention until McAvoy and Marchand get back. That may not be easy in the East.
Maybe Bs can bring back Cashman and Espo for one last run

If anyone is in the NJ/PA Lehigh Valley area, at the PPL Center on Sept. 16 and 17th the Rangers rookies and prospects play the Flyers rookies and prospects. I am going on the 16th. Should be a good time to watch these young guys.

They streamed the rookie scrimmages the last time they had them with the Flyers. It was better quality than the TCT streams. Hope they do it again.
Good choice IMO. Already hearing some Kreider and Zibanejad fans pouting. I love both of those guys, but there’s a reason they didn’t name either of them captain. Let’s be clear, some,(not all), are pouting. And I’m sure both players will be fine with it.
Great teams have lots of leaders and only a few of them get to wear a letter let alone the C. Still think Laffy will be captain some day.
