Game 5 of the season. We are going to see some lineup changes, naturally. I know I’m starting to sound annoyed by Quinn’s decisions. But, as Coos would say, riddle me this. A 27 year old Colin Blackwell will make his Rangers debut tonight. At 5-9, 190 lbs, and with 33 games of NHL experience (3-7-10) under his belt, he clearly has a bright future in NY. Nobody is injured, as far as we know. If you’re wondering whether this move is about using him for expansion draft purposes, I did the math. He needs 27 games this season to be eligible. If he plays 27 games this season for whatever reason, we are going to talk another lottery. Maybe he will make me eat crow. I can only hope. Also, Smith goes in for Johnson.

I miss Lundqvist 😢
This game mostly turned when we lost Chytil though I guess losing him affected Shesterkin more than anyone else.
Why didn’t we leave bubble Shesterkin in the bubble?
Is it time to give Kinkaid a look?
Georgiev needs to be the go to guy for awhile. Shesterkin did not look comfortable in any game he has played so far and has proven to be Mr. Softee. Hold Pittsburgh to 19 shots and lose the game? Henrik must be enjoying this so far.

They played a pretty decent game, should have had pts if not the win. Could have put one more in, definitely give up one less. The chronic problem remains too much east-west, pass first and second option hockey.
Too bad they’re not playing tomorrow.

Whatever the reason, Zibanejad looks awful. They need to figure out what to do with Lafrenier, because what they are doing now is not working.

So I will send it again. Take Shesterkin out; having some mental problems. Put Buch. back on our top line and Lafreniere with the Breadman. If we’re playing like this in a week or so we’ll have some problems but don’t think that’s going happen. Our high salaried players have to play better. This is a slow learning process unfortunately in a very short season. Our goaltending has to get much better
E3 – he’s one among several of our sexy boys from last year who haven’t woken up yet. Example: Fast – not a word aboot him from SalmonJoe this season.

Miller looks like the next Seth Jones. Not a bad outcome for the Rangers. Unfortunately, Shesterkin looks like Gilles Gratton without the cool lion mask.

I don’t know if they can do it with COVID protocols, but, they should send Shesty home to work with Allaire for a few days like Hank did a couple of times. He’s not doing himself or the team any good by playing right now. He’s not tracking the puck at all now. It’s in the net before he finds out where it is.
…and that after unanimous assurance, that we have one of the best and promising goalies tandem in the Ligue. Promising is one thing, – to fulfil this promise – another.
Speaking of promising: Consolation – K’Andre and Laffy are the real thing. You can see it.
