The 1-0 Rangers look to extend their winning streak to two games in a Saturday night tilt against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Columbus defenseman Werenski is out for 1-2 weeks with a quadriceps contusion.

Absolute dreadful display. They look like the skating dead. Those 2 overturned goals really seem to have taken the wind out of their sails. Also, they may have taken the Jackets lightly.

The worst takeaway is that Lindgren is injured. They can’t afford that. Gustaffson and Jones leave much to be desired.
It’s possible they might have gotten worse every period since the season started

Why they are keeping Jones is a mystery to me. If he is not going to play a regular role, he’ll never improve. Yet if you do somehow get him time, every mistake is going to be magnified compared to a seasoned vet and his value will drop significantly. Should move him now while they can still get something (pick probably) in return as it is hard to see how he fits given players ahead of him.

Schneider didn’t look to great let’s be honest. Also why is that the puck always finds Trouba in a position to score down low…pretty much last defenseman you’d want there. And he needs to cool it with the ineffective slap shots from the point
