I think the player who took the penalty should get a minus when they give up a pp goal. Especially when it’s a dumbass move like Trocheck ‘s Pouliot.
Dumb penalty and neither KAM or Mika touched Hyman while he hacked away at Igor until it went in. He should have been (as Carp would say)on his wallet. This is a checking division.

As the son of a Vietnam Vet who then became a police officer and as a doc myself who worked in the VA hospital for 3 years I have nothing but the utmost respect for the men and women who serve our country both in the military and in uniform back here at home.

It’s not that they’re losing that worries/bothers me. It’s “how” they’re losing. Losing battles between the circles and puck watching instead of boxing players out and clearing the crease. It’s concerning as the ice will continue to shrink as playoffs near.

I love when they control the puck in the offense zone for an hour, tiring out the defense and then an idiot defenseman takes a Hajek shot from the point with no one screening or paying attention, right to the goalie.
Last year Kreider was the best in front of the goalie. This year he’s the best at allowing goalies to see the shot.

I have to conclude that Laffy is only a wee bit away from being a complete dominator. He plays his position so responsibly that it’s only a matter of time before he becomes frustrated with doing the “right” thing and starts taking chances

They’ve had problems with all that stuff you talked about for several seasons now. Part of the problem is the forward line combos. They looked the best as a group and limited sone of the stuff for a little while last season but they’re back to bad combos and the same areas that needed addressed last season need to be addressed again.

My uncle was a Marine who did 3 tours over there. My dad was in the 1st Marine Division in the Korean War and was at Chosin Reservoir. I was watching a documentary on Korean war and it featured a segment on Chosin andy father walked right across the screen with his 30 cal on his shoulder. He was 18 years old. Different generation than what we have today .
